A new USA Today / Gallup poll reveals that, either despite or directly because of what seems to be a near-constant barrage of Occupy Wall Street news items from all sorts of ideological points of view, the American public is, to put it in layman’s terms, “super meh” about the whole endeavor.

America Is Now A Pothead Majority: A Record 50% Of Americans Say Marijuana Should Be Legal

Everybody pass the Cheetos! A majority of Americans now support marijuana legalization — 50%, up from 46% last year, according to a new Gallup poll. Stoners can celebrate that this percentage is an all-time record-high in the history of the poll. The poll was released following the news that California Medical Association has called on the federal government to legalize the drug.

Ron Paul has received a great deal of media coverage about how little media coverage he gets, even garnering support for being given more airtime by Jon Stewart. Tonight, however, one interviewer called out the Congressman for refusing an invitation to the airtime he complains he rarely gets– Bill O’Reilly, who extended an invitation to Rep. Paul today.

New Gallup Poll Finds Obama Behind Mitt Romney, Even With Rick Perry

A new Gallup Poll released today finds that, if it were to be held today, the 2012 presidential election would be a close one with President Barack Obama matched closely against each of the four possible Republican opponents. Obama led against Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann by two and four percentage points of perspective voters, respectively, while Mitt Romney edged him out by two percentage points. Obama and Perry stood tied, each earning 47 percent of registered voters prospective tallies.

41% Approve: New Gallup Poll Has Barack Obama Return To His Previous Low

According to a new Gallup poll released today, President Obama‘s approval rating has returned to a 41% approval ratings, the lowest level at which he’s ever polled, the last time coming around November of of 2010 around the mid-term elections. Perhaps most concerning to the White House reelection efforts is that his approval rating is down most among likely independent voters, with 35% of independents approving of the job Obama has done, nine points lower than where that figure has been earlier in the year.

Republicans and Republican-leaning independent voters clearly have not picked a frontrunner. According to a new Gallup poll, Republicans kinda sorta like three potential GOP nominees: Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, and Sarah Palin, who split essentially even (Huckabee in front with 18 percent, and Romney and Palin tied with 16 percent). They are the only Republicans in the poll to hit double digits, ahead of a long list of others, including New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (1%), Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann (4%) and Newt Gingrich (9%).

This year’s results revealed Ronald Reagan as the favorite choice among Americans and Chris Matthews was none too pleased, dismissing the poll as just a “memory quiz.”
