First Lady Michelle Obama spoke with CBS This Morning host Gayle King to address some image issues she’s had to deal with during her husband’s time in the White House… and his possible role in that.

After spiking The Early Show and starting from scratch in favor of a newsier format (or, in their own words, “a more substantive alternative”), This Morning debuted with much of the same content that most likely would’ve been featured on the old show.

Television host and seasoned interviewer Charlie Rose joins radio and television personality Gayle King as two of the newest editions to the revamped edition of CBS’ Early Show.

In the hours that preceded Sunday night’s Super Bowl, President Obama sat down for a live (and lively) interview with Fox News host Bill O’Reilly. Last night’s O’Reilly Factor was fittingly almost entirely dedicated to dissection of the back and forth, or in O’Reilly’s terms, “was the interview pinheaded or patriotic?” The Fox News anchor took on criticism over his asking of Obama if he was “disturbed that some people hate (him.)”

So what will Oprah Winfrey‘s OWN–set to launch January first–look like? The Oprah Winfrey Network released a sneak peak video today, and it contains a lot of familiar faces from Oprah’s long-running daytime TV show, including Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz.

The details are still mostly under wraps, with only tiny tidbits being hinted at in the 72-second teaser video. Oprah says “this is it,” and Sarah, Duchess of York says “it’s great… it’s exciting to be part of OWN.”

Daytime TV Queen–and soon to be cable channel honcho–Oprah Winfrey can talk to anyone about anything, but rarely opens up about her own life. So it was all the more surprising when she broke down during an interview with ABC’s Barbara Walters.

In an excerpt from her upcoming A Barbara Walters Special: Oprah, The Next Chapter, which airs Thursday night on ABC, Walters asked about the unusual bond between Oprah and best friend Gayle King.

By now it’s old news that President Obama didn’t get to spend his 49th birthday with Michelle, Malia, or Sasha, who had prior engagements in Spain and at summer camp. As unfortunate as that may be, he managed to wrangle up a few high-profile media moguls (okay, one media mogul and her de facto celebrity friend) to go to dinner with him.
