According to GMA host George Stephanopolous, Lady Gaga was able to bring in the biggest summer concert crowd the show had had in the three years its been holding the series in Central Park, with 6,000 free tickets having been snatched up in a mere 12 minutes.

Mediaite founder and ABC legal analyst Dan Abrams spoke with Good Morning America‘s George Stephanopoulos about recent testimony given by the family of Nancy Kerrigan, the figure skater whose rivalry with fellow athlete Tonya Harding culiminated in an attack on Kerrigan. Kerrigan’s brother, Mark Kerrigan, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of his elderly father, who allegedly passed following a struggle between the two. Kerrigan’s mother, Brenda Kerrigan, recently gave a tearful testimony on behalf of her son.

The Washington Post is reporting that This Week host George Stephanopoulos has been offered the highly visible position of co-hosting “Good Morning America.” A source tells Mediaite that the offer was made at least a week ago, raising questions about why this story broke now. Even more curious is the report that Stephanopolous was only asked, not that he accepted the gig. One wonders if this still leaves open the possibility for Chris Cuomo to get the spot.
