North Korean state television announced Sunday that Kim Jong Il Supreme Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) has died.

Give Geraldo Rivera credit. He was undeterred by any animus exhibited towards “corporate media” behemoth Fox News last night by Occupy Wall Street protesters during last night’s live report at Zuccotti Park. Producers of his show Geraldo at Large, however, may not be as deserving of accolades, evidenced by the odd decision to tape a live segment dedicated to the Baby Lisa tragedy amidst the protesters, which in hindsight, probably went better than one could reasonably expect.

In what appears retrospectively to be an inevitability, Geraldo Rivera‘s broadcast live from Zuccotti Park had its first “live” moment tonight, as a protester dropped an f-bomb after shouting at Rivera, “my goal is to occupy everywhere!” The question prompting his response was a fairly innocent inquiry as to what the protester– dressed in a black and white outfit and matching fedora to give the Hipster Cop a run for his money– wanted out of the protests.

The defense’s case in the Casey Anthony murder trial increasingly slim, questions have begun to surround the bizarre responses of her father, George, to many of the questions in his testimony. On Geraldo at Large, Craig Rivera compiled everything in the press about George Anthony– his seeming detachment to his daughter, the fact that he did not notify authorities about a “smell of death” in his car– to attempt to put the puzzle of his role in the death together.

Donald Trump better hope Dr. Orly Taitz, D.D.S., Esq., stays away from the 2012 Republican presidential field, because barring a second fifteen minutes for the infamous frivolous lawsuit filer, Trump has solidified his position as 2012′s official birther candidate. Visiting Geraldo Rivera tonight, Trump insisted that, hope as he may that President Obama was American, “we shouldn’t have to be talking about the word hope.”

It began like a scene out of Jimmy Fallon‘s wildest dreams: a mustache face-off between Fox News’ top upper lips, Geraldo Rivera and John Stossel. The pair dueled (showed off their facial hair simultaneously on camera) for a good cause: prostate cancer awareness. And contrary to Fallon’s prediction, the two mustaches got along swimmingly! A North New Jersey regional website is reporting that a reporter for WNYW Fox5, the New York CIty’s Fox News affiliate, is being held on $250,000 bail after being arrested for aggravated sexual assault on a minor. The reporter has been identified as Charles Leaf, who received some national attention for an attempted ambush interview with Sharif el-Gamal, the developer behind the so-called “Ground Zero Mosque,” back in late August of this year.

Last Saturday night, Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams gained legendary status among right-wingers for bravely standing up to the unfair stereotypes of the Tea Party movement perpetuated by… Fox News. Turns out that, besides biting the hand that feeds, Williams was actively promoting these stereotypes last September when he called Barack Obama an “Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug” on his blog.

More drama between Fox News and the Tea Party movement: Geraldo Rivera had Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams on to vent his frustrations about how the tea partiers are portrayed in the mainstream media, and Williams promptly took out his anger– straight at Rivera.

Professional provocateurs and political pundits Al Sharpton and Ann Coulter were invited on Geraldo At Large last night, to debate whether or not RNC Chair Michael Steele played the “race card” when he agreed with a question he received from George Stephanopoulos that he has a “slimmer margin” for error because, like President Obama, he is African-American. Coulter and Sharpton talking race politics? What could go wrong!
