Howard Stern: Piers Morgan Is In “Full Blown Denial” To Think He’ll Be Competitive

piers_howard Audio

What a difference a few weeks makes. It seems like only yesterday that new CNN host Piers Morgan and Howard Stern were best of friends celebrating Morgan’s great ratings with Stern as his guest. However, with Morgan’s ratings tumble, Stern is now unleashing his true thoughts about Morgan who he finds a “little bit strange”

Jerry Springer: “The Liberals Have Won” And “We Are A Liberal Country”

Springer audio

Jerry Springer appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show yesterday and the conversation got around to Air America. Stern then asked why liberal talk shows never do as well and Springer had an interesting answer: “Because the Liberals won.”

Ratings: Piers Morgan And Howard Stern Beat Hannity And Maddow In Demo

Picture 7 ratings

The second night of Piers Morgan Tonight brought its host for the first time into his new set, and face-to-face with the King of All Media Howard Stern. Ahead of the interview’s airing Tuesday night, Piers Morgan took to Twitter to tweak his competitor at Fox News, Sean Hannity: “Msg to @seanhannity – if I don’t smack you down tonight with Howard, I’ll take you on Thursday with Ricky Gervais. love Piers x.”

Howard Stern Tells Piers: Jay Leno Is “Insane” And Is A “Crook”

stern_1-14-1 Video

Tomorrow night on Piers Morgan‘s new CNN show, an interview with the always unpredictable Howard Stern will air. Today though some of the controversial comments from the interview are leaking out and they include Stern repeating and amplifying his dislike for NBC‘s late night host Jay Leno.

Howard Stern On Sarah Palin: “You Want To Vomit From Her” (And That’s The Nicest Part)

Stern Palin video

Yesterday, Howard Stern had some harsh words for Sarah Palin about the tone of her video speech from Wednesday morning. Like many of Palin’s detractors, Stern felt that the former Governor focussed too much on herself and not enough on the actual victims. However, unlike most of the other criticisms of the video we’ve heard, Stern’s aforementioned words weren’t just harsh; a couple of them were those that one doesn’t use in polite company.

First Look: Piers Morgan’s New Set On CNN (And First Week’s Guests)

Picture-56

For decades, Larry King‘s iconic set–perhaps best described as a “Lite Brite map of the world” was as recognizable as the host himself. As CNN prepares to launch a new host into King’s 9 p.m. timeslot, much has been mentioned about the set, which will incorporate the ability for host Piers Morgan to have a live studio audience.

Kathy Griffin: If I Curse On New Year’s Eve CNN Will Immediately Yank Me Off Live TV

Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper NSFW Audio

Kathy Griffin is back co-hosting CNN‘s New Year’s Eve special with Anderson Cooper, and if her recent appearance on Howard Stern‘s radio show is any indication, CNN might have a lot to fear. For the past two years, Stern accurately describes the “holiday tradition” of Griffin appearing on the CNN telecast, blurting out an inappropriate expletive, CNN apologizing and subsequently banning Griffin from the network, only to then bring Griffin back the next year.

Howard Stern Will Be On Sirius XM For Another Five Years

stern

Looks like America’s preeminent shock jock has still got some life in him. Howard Stern, the self-proclaimed King of All Media (remember that?), will extend his reign on satellite radio for another five years. Stern, who’d publicly doubted whether he’d stay on the radio after his contract with Sirus XM expired at the end of this year, has inked a new deal “for $100 billion,” he joked to Good Day New York. “I now own Rupert Murdoch.”

Following Up On The “Worst Ground Zero Mosque Debate Ever”

bolling_8-30 video

Last week we brought to light a lengthy segment on Fox Business Network and asked if it was the “worst Ground Zero Mosque debate ever.”

The Howard Stern Sirius XM channel answered: yes. Here’s a look at how the segment intersected with Stern’s channel – and how Eric Bolling continued the debate on Money Rocks the rest of the week.

Megyn Kelly And Howard Stern Discuss Fox News, Roger Ailes And Penis Size

megyn-kelly-howard-stern audio

Megyn Kelly is officially “enjoying a moment.” She went on The Howard Stern Show this morning and showed that the shock jock is putty in her hands (not unlike Kelly’s cohort Bill O’Reilly.) In an entertaining interview, Kelly revealed a lot about her rise to prominence at Fox News, discussed the alleged Fox News political litmus test, and spoke candidly how her future at the network almost never was, if not for the foresight of Roger Ailes.

Megyn Kelly And Guests Discuss Leno, Stern, Joke Theft And Sex Toys

kelly_stern_leno

Howard Stern has long claimed that Jay Leno steals his comedy bits, last month went on CBS’ Early Show to rail on the Tonight Show host. Fox News host Megyn Kelly thought the topic interesting enough to bring to a segment she calls “Kelly’s Court” (with guests Arthur Aidala and Lee Armstrong) and…then things got really weird.

Shep Smith Gets Punked By Howard Stern Fan During Breaking News Segment

shep_punked video

During a breaking news update on the West Virginia coal mine disaster, Fox News anchor Shepard Smith informed the viewing audience that we were about to learn new of developments from a West Virgina Coal Mine spokesman. Alas – and predictably – instead we heard the caller call Jamie Foxx the worst word imaginable (in some circles, anyway). Oh Howard Stern fans – will your schtick ever grow tiresome? Actually, yes. Like right now for example.

Howard Stern Bashes Jay Leno On CBS: “A Thief” And “A Lapdog”

stern_3-2 video

Well the CBS Early Show bookers got what they hoped for when they booked radio icon Howard Stern to critique Jay Leno‘s first night back at 11:35.

It wasn’t so much of a specific review as a pass to unleash his hatred of the longtime NBC star.

CNN’s Ali Velshi Called “Dumbass” On Live Television By Prank Caller

ali_dumbass video

We are big fans of Ali Velshi, and have long been proponents of what we deem to be a very bright future at CNN. That said – he is getting used to some of the guiding principles of live television. For example, if someone who has called into your show mentions Howard Stern, there is an extremely good chance that he is not who he purports to be. Secondly, by all means do not ask that caller a follow-up question, else you risk being called a “dumb ass” on live TV. Just like in this following video.

Howard Stern To Conan Three Years Ago: ‘Leno Will Never Leave The Tonight Show

howard_conan video

In the strange event you hear the claim that nobody could have predicted the crazy soap opera that has surrounded NBC late night programming, we submit the following clip. Over three years ago Howard Stern was a guest on Conan O’Brien’s show when it held the 12:30 slot. Howard mentions the news that Conan will take over for Leno, then asks Conan “Do you think that’s really going to happen?” He gets even more precise with his predictions later. Video inside!

Artie Lange Might Be Done For Good On Howard Stern

artielange

Will Artie Lange ever return to The Howard Stern Show? It seems less and less likely that Howard Stern’s comedian sidekick will ever return to the Sirius/XM satellite radio broadcast, which airs Monday through Thursday mornings and is available to over 20 million satellite radio subscribers. Lange, who has a long history of drinking, drug [...]

Panel Nerds: Jimmy Fallon on NBC Mess: “I’m Just Happy To Have A Show”

And On The Fourth Day of Hanukkah, We Get “Kosher Face”

First, as far as I can tell, there was “Bad Shiksa” (FIRST!). Next there was “Eight Days of Hannukah” by Orrin Hatch, followed by a cover of Adam Sandler‘s Hanukkah Song by Neil Diamond. Then there was Eli Roth and Harvey Levin looking ready to take their act to the Catskills — and now, not [...]

Meet The Prensa: Gerson Borrero on Univisión, Telemundo and the “Drive-By Racists” of Fox News

It started as a quiet radio talk show—a dialogue between two journalists from competing Hispanic television networks. Both were praising the way their stations had been covering the ongoing hearings of Sonia Sotomayor before the Senate Judiciary Committee. It was the usual display of Hispanic pride, respect for the accomplished judge and her mother, and [...]

A Month of Mediaite: Looks Like We Made It!*

Welcome to the fun-filled world of a start-up! For the past four weeks, we’ve taken to comparing the site to a baby: Don’t leave it alone, don’t expect much sleep, you never know what it’ll burp up. (Wordpress! How you bedevil us!). Though it’s certainly forced us to stretch in ways we weren’t expecting, we’ve enjoyed the past month — enough to look forward to sticking around for a while (sorry, Brain Trust).

Power Grid Adds New Metric That Shakes Up Rankings

You asked, we listened: Mediaite has added a new statistic to the Power Grid that will at once shake up the ratings in a big way and make them more accurate. News Buzz tracks the number of mentions that a person has gotten from major news outlets over the past month, as tracked using Google News. Howard Stern, for one, should be happy.
