The echoes of President Obama’s State of the Union speech had barely receded when MSNBC’s Chris Matthews blurted out what will probably be the quote of the night. “I forgot he was black tonight for an hour…I said wait a minute, he’s an African American guy in front of a bunch of other white people…”
