Fox Business’ Eric Bolling drew criticism for remarks he made on Friday’s edition of Follow The Money, accusing President Obama of hosting “hoodlums” in the “hizzouse,” and later, referring to The White House as”the big crib.”

Following publication of my column denouncing the segment, Bolling and I had an intense, yet civil, debate on Twitter Sunday night, and tonight, he issued a brief apology for the remarks.

Fox Business’ Eric Bolling stirred controversy awhile back when he converted the pint that President Obama shared on a trip to Ireland into a bigger-and-deffer 40 oz, and this past Friday, he rolled out some more hip-hop parlance, accusing Obama of hosting “hoodlums” in the “hizzouse,” and later, referring to The White House as”the big crib.”

So much for the “new niceness.” From today until Wednesday, Salon’s War Room blog will be revealing its list of the 30 “worst” pundits currently stinking up the media. The inventory is being written by Alex Pareene, who learned the art of biting commentary at Gawker.

There’s been much written about the obtrusiveness of the new full body scanners (or body-scatters) being unrolled at airports. However, The Atlantic’s Jeffry Goldberg has found some additional disturbing facts both about the scanners (for one, he got an employee to admit he called the machines “The Dick-Measuring Device”) and, even worse, about what happens when you opt out.

Cuban ex-tyrant and current mascot Fidel Castro has been duped by the imperialist media! Castro trusted The Atlantic‘s Jeffrey Goldberg enough to grant him an interview, and instead of quoting verbatim his every six-hour harangue on the virtues of Marxism, Goldberg found fascinating a nugget of regret the Comandante let drop: “the Cuban model doesn’t even work for us anymore.” This means “exactly the opposite” of what it says!

It’s a good week to hate on the TSA. The internet was abuzz this weekend when Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a fervent opponent of Israel and frequent Holocaust denier, was actually of Jewish ancestry. Many major media outlets proliferated the story, which has since been been refuted. Why did the web get fooled?
