Jon Hamm Shirtless! SNL’s Sexy Sergio Is Great For SEO (SEXXXY!)

Jon Hamm SNL Sergio Samberg

Jon Hamm Shirtless! Sexy Jon Hamm Muscles! Sweaty Glistening Don Draper! SNL was kind to the SEO gods last night thanks to not one but two shirtless Jon Hamm sketches plus adorable Michael Bublé, who is Canadian. SNL was super-strong last night thanks not only to Hamm’s self-evident hotness but his equally impressive penchant for [...]

Jon Hamm’s SNL Monologue Less Scary Than Martin Lawrence’s

Jon Hamm SNL

On last night’s SNL, the conceit for host Jon Hamm‘s monologue was about Hamm’s pre-fame roles, before he ended up starring as Don Draper in the critically-acclaimed Mad Men. The joke was that Hamm has always played it as Draper, with the slicked-back hair, scotch and power suit — but caught the eye of aficionados also caught a reference to comedian Martin Lawrence‘s hosting monologue in 1993 — which was so risqué it was banned from ever being shown again.

Scott Brown is a rather handsome person and so is Jon Hamm, so it makes perfect sense to have had Hamm portray him rather sexily in the SNL sketch addressing his victory in the Massachusetts Senate race. This is a top-notch SNL sketch: Funny, clear concept, strong characterizations, and lots of gyrating sexy-dancing Jon Hamm, made even sexier with a Mass accent.

January Jones, Painful on SNL: Visibly, Audibly Asks “Which Camera?”

Poor January Jones. It has, I think, been a long time since a host on SNL has been this bad. Stilted delivery, stumbling over words and that weird, low-energy negativity that works for Betty Draper but so does not work for a live comedy show. There were many lowlights, but the NYT’s Dave Itzkoff caught [...]

Mad Men‘s Kosher Karousel

“Nostalgia,” said Don Draper to the hushed and darkened room. “It’s delicate, but potent…Teddy told me that in Greek, nostalgia literally means the pain from an old wound. It’s a twinge in your heart, far more powerful than memory alone.” Then he convinced a roomful of clients that calling it a Carousel might actually reinvent the wheel. Suckers!

We can’t speed time up and make it Sunday at 10 p.m. any faster than the Lord or Matthew Weiner willeth, but we can pull together a few videos that will slake your mighty thirst, momentarily.
