This afternoon on the Kilmeade and Friends radio show, seasoned Republican political strategist Karl Rove took some time to weigh in on the allegations of sexual harassment lobbed against presidential hopeful Herman Cain.

Rove referred to this morning’s New York Times report on the two women who have come forward and noted that, in Cain’s view, there appears to be a discrepancy between an “agreement” and a “settlement.” He then offered some advice for Cain.

This morning, Karl Rove went on Fox News and listed Herman Cain’s past mistakes on a white board, claiming the candidate had “peaked” in the polls. At the time, we suggested that this might just be another case of a GOP establishment type knocking a Tea Party favorite. Unsurprisingly, there was at least one person who was quick to jump on that theory. That person? Herman Cain.

Herman Cain’s reign on top of the 2012 contender list may be coming to an end. That’s the impression Karl Rove gave during an appearance on Fox News this morning as he slammed the candidate as having “created an image of him not being up for this task” through a series of blunders.

Karl Rove thinks Rep. Ron Paul‘s presidential campaign is too exclusive. On last night’s On the Record, Greta Van Susteren asked Rove to assess various Republican campaigns, and noted that he believed the only chance Rep. Paul has of winning the nomination is of making a note to appeal to a broader base of voters, instead of allowing the noise of his base to blind him to how few of them there are.

Laura Ingraham sat in for Bill O’Reilly last night on The Factor, where she spoke with political analyst and former Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff to George W. Bush Karl Rove about a topic that’s been the subject of many headlines over the years, and this week in particular: “The politics of Mormonism.”

With the 2012 elections looming, the media has dedicated much of its time these past few weeks to figuring out the ultimate Republican field to challenge President Obama. On her program today, Rachel Maddow warned that to worry too much about who would actually end up on the ballot would be dropping the ball, because it was the financial infrastructure behind the Republican Party, led by Karl Rove, that would be doing the heavy lifting, and has already begun to do so.

Handicapping tonight’s debate for the Wall Street Journal, the sage Republican strategist Karl Rove suggests that the otherwise “competent and capable” Mitt Romney “needs to light a spark among GOP voters” if he hopes to be chosen as nominee. Rove also offered his assessment to current GOP front runner Rick Perry, and a few words of advice for Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum as well, but seemed most ready to heap praise on Romney. He’s just a little worried the former Massachusetts governor might be a little boring.

On his “Rewrite” segment, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell took on presidential candidate Rick Perry‘s delicate balance between his past controversial statements on Social Security and his need to appear mainstream within the Republican party during the 2012 race.

Appearing on America Live Thursday, Karl Rove responded to Rick Perry‘s slam of him at last night’s debate, saying “I didn’t realize I was under his personal care.” At last night’s Republican debate, when questioned over Karl Rove’s criticism of his labeling of Social Security as a “ponzi scheme”, Perry hit back, saying “Karl’s been over the top for a long time in some of his remarks, so I’m not responsible for Karl anymore.”

On Wednesday morning’s edition of Good Morning America, in an interview with George Stephanopoulos, Karl Rove called Rick Perry‘s stance on Social Security “toxic in a general election environment and…also toxic in a Republican primary.”

The rumored tension between Texas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry and the the last man to hold both titles simultaneously, President George W. Bush, has made for plenty of headlines– a tension around with many in the Bush camp have been implicated. Hosting The O’Reilly Factor tonight, Laura Ingraham got to speak to one of those in the Bush camp, Karl Rove, and drilled him on the relationship between two of his former candidates. Rove was not too happy to be addressing the rumors.

Christine O’Donnell appeared on The O’Reilly Factor as part of her promotional tour of her new book Troublemaker. Host Bill O’Reilly appeared to provide a much more welcoming interview than the one given by Piers Morgan (that spawned the publicity drawing mid-interview walk-off.) While O’Donnell mostly described how she had been victimized by both the media and her political supporters, she did get the chance to give Karl Rove some stick of her own.

If Karl Rove had been trying to hide his complete contempt for Sarah Palin in the past for the sake of Reagan’s eleventh commandment, he all but gave up on it tonight. Speaking to Greta Van Susteren tonight, Rove lashed out at Palin’s statement that his speculation on her candidacy was wrong by repeatedly referring to her “thin skin” and daring Palin to “end the speculation” and say she isn’t running if such speculation upsets her.

Former White House Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton appeared on Fox News Sunday this morning to debate Karl Rove on job creation, but Rove didn’t stop at attacking Burton and President Obama. The former Bush Chief of Staff also lashed out at host Bret Baier for exposing the rigidity of the GOP presidential field by asking them if they would walk away from a deal with $10 in spending cuts for every $1 of tax revenue, telling Baier, “With all due respect, that was a lousy question for a debate.”

While his show may be the newest on MSNBC, Al Sharpton is already proving he isn’t afraid of booking guests that disagree with him. That led to fairly loud debate last night, where Dallas Tea Party leader Phillip Dennis fielded Sharpton’s outraged questions about his movement– questions that seemed to either undermine Mitt Romney or dismiss the whole movement– and was led to conclude Sharpton “fears” the Tea Party.

President Barack Obama‘s Massachusetts vacation has Republicans up in arms, especially in light of him not providing a jobs plan before heading off to Martha’s Vineyard. On her program tonight, Rachel Maddow tried to make sense of the right-wing critiques, from the amount of vacation time to mocking his “Aerosmith” bus to Mitt Romney mocking Martha’s Vineyard while staying in a nearby neighborhood in his home state.

Rick Perry is facing a full-on assault from former Bush aides over his comments on Fed Chair Ben Bernanke, pushing a long-rumored rivalry between the two ex-governors’ camps out into the open.

Acknowledging to TPM that “there is no love lost between the W camp and the Perry camp,” one Bush veteran appealed for detente.

On last night’s Ed Show, host Ed Schultz played an out-of-context clip of Texas Governor Rick Perry discussing a “black cloud” over America, suggesting he was making a potentially racist comment about the President. Tonight, he apologized and played the clip in full, which shows Perry was clearly referencing the national debt, though added that “the full context” of many other clips “show who [Perry] really is,” and it’s not, to Schultz, a pretty picture.

Karl Rove appeared on Hannity last night to give his take on the GOP candidate field so far. Host Sean Hannity kicked things off by summarizing what’s been going on in Iowa and playing a clip of what can aptly be described as presidential hopeful Mitt Romney‘s stand-up act in New Hampshire (the “anointed one,” as Hannity referred to him, being the butt of Romney’s jokes). Then, Rove dove right in.

Last night, in an unlikely occurrence, liberal Ed Schultz strongly defended conservative presidential candidate Michele Bachmann from the recent “right-wing hit job” on her, and even admitted that he now respects her immensely for not being bullied by the establishment of the Republican party. The reported allegations that Bachmann “pops pills like candy” and suffers from incapacitating migraines was, according to Schultz, a non-story “so heavy on insinuation and light on specifics.”

With the 2012 elections drawing ever nearer, Karl Rove has made his prediction official: no matter who wins the Republican primary, Barack Obama is losing. On last night’s O’Reilly Factor, host Juan Williams tried to remind Rove that the Republican field is weak, at best, but received only an earful as to why President Obama is a failure with no chance of winning another four years in the White House.

Sarah Palin is fired up and ready to go, but no one really seems to know where. Politico reports today that Palin has spent Memorial Day making visits to various historical sites but has kept most of the media out of the loop with the purpose of the tour, other than publicly stating that her vehicle wasn’t “a campaign bus” as news broke of her adding Iowa to her itinerary.

At this point in the 2012 political scene, it’s no secret that Karl Rove isn’t Sarah Palin‘s biggest fan. But just in case it’s been forgotten, Rove made that once again abundantly clear on tonight’s On the Record, where he compared Palin to failed Democratic candidate George McGovern, questioned her understanding of how presidential primaries work, and told Greta van Susteren he doesn’t see her thinking “the rules apply to her.”

With Newt Gingrich jumping into the 2012 Republican presidential campaign today, Karl Rove tells Matt Lauer “(Gingrich) could earn his way into the top tier…there is essentially no front-runner.” The Republican field remains wide open, Rove says, with time for a well-known candidate like Gingrich to make moves to break from the pack before others get into the race in the weeks before July, when Rove believes it will be too late to run for those who haven’t begun campaigning to mount an effective bid for the GOP nomination.

O’Donnell delivered his latest anti-Trump screed tonight in response to news that Jerry Seinfeld refuses to do charity events with Trump, and encouraged all “decent” people to do the same.
