Over the weekend, reports surfaced that Bill O’Reilly‘s new non-fiction book, Killing Lincoln, had been banned from Ford’s Theater– where Lincoln was killed– for factual inaccuracies. Tonight on The Factor, O’Reilly clarified that this was not true, and that the Theater had released a statement that it was, indeed, stocking the book, despite “four minor misstatements” and two typos.

Fox News alpha-male and best selling author Bill O’Reilly continued to shill his new book Killing Lincoln with an appearance on America Live with Megyn Kelly today. An otherwise unremarkable appearance turned interesting when Kelly confronted O’Reilly on why he’d want to go on The Daily Show and give attention to host Jon Stewart (who has, on occasion, turned his comedic focus on Kelly herself.) O’Reilly explained that he liked the added attention from such appearances, before claiming he “likes” and “beats” Stewart.

As part of a lengthy promotional tour for his new book Killing Lincoln, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly appeared on The Daily Show for a spirited and respectful discussion with host Jon Stewart of the current political rhetoric of the day. Government spending, tax rates and the price of Government-bought muffins were the topics of the conversation in the segment that aired, but as is often the case with interesting TDS interviews, the second segment, saved for Internet-only release, was more interesting that the first.

Bill O’Reilly: ‘I Have More Power Than Anybody Other Than The President’

Bill O’Reilly is not to be messed with…unless you of course you’re name is Barack Obama. “I have more power than anybody other than the president,” he says in a Newsweek profile this week, meant to coincide with the release of his co-written book, Killing Lincoln. The Fox News host has turned fifteen years on-air into cable news largest viewership, and — as far as he, himself, is concerned — nearly unprecedented power. “I can get things changed, quickly,” he says. “I don’t have to go through the legislative process; I don’t have to do any of that. I can just bring it to the people, and say, look, this has gotta be dealt with.”
