LinkedIn To Host Town Hall With Obama, Get Us All Jobs

LinkedIn member Barack Obama wants to connect. Next Monday, the social networking site for professionals will be hosting a Town Hall with the digitally savvy President. LinkedIn and the White House website will broadcast live as the President answers questions about “job creation and the economy,” sourced “directly from LinkedIn users who range from small business owners and employees to community college students to veterans.” And then we all get jobs?

The former governor of Alaska has had her share of ups and downs with the internet, but certainly made a name for herself speaking directly to followers. In anticipation of Going Rogue, the Wall Street Journal reported that Palin’s publicity team has been making deliberate gains online. Have you seen this Facebook?!

In so many ways former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin is leading the social media charge where politicians are concerned. Should Palin really make a run for it in 2012 she make deserve the Internet crown. Now if only her new media staff (should they exist in plural) can get their act together!

Blog Talk Radio Lands Their Whale: Obama Plans Podcast

Barrack Obama has been no stranger to social media outlets: Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter have all been a part of the White House communications strategy. Well now add one more: Wednesday, August 17th Obama will join a coalition of pro-reform faith groups for a podcast called 40 Minutes for Health Reform hosted by Blog Talk Radio.
