In a videotaped “First Guess” segment for his Fok News Channel, future Current TV tentpole Keith Olbermann taunted departing Fox News tentpole Glenn Beck with a dramatic reading from A Face in the Crowd, from which Beck’s “Lonesome Rhodes” nickname derives. Along the way, though, Olbermann offered his own insight into Beck’s coming departure from FOX, revealed some information about his upcoming show, and displayed the kind of hubris that is the hallmark of either the truly gifted, or the truly narcissistic (or both!)

What Present Did George Soros Personally Send Glenn Beck?

Glenn Beck‘s George Soros exposé began today and it did not disappoint. Nothing that begins with the dramatic lines “83 years ago, George Soros was born. Little did the world know, then, that economy’s would collapse, currencies would become worthless, elections would be stolen, regimes would fall, and one billionaire would find himself, coincidentally, at the center of it all” ever could. Beck also revealed an interesting anecdote: Soros once sent him a present.

Is The MSM Starting To Take Glenn Beck Seriously?

It appears the mainstream media is slowly catching up to the Glenn Beck phenomenon. This past September Time put him on the cover, last month Barbara Walters included him in her most fascinating people of 2009, today the Wall St. Journal’s online op-ed editor James Taranto has pubbed a longish interview with him. Seems like Beck may not merely be a (fascinating) side show much longer.

Soundbite: “Child Abuse In Politics” Is “A Right-Wing Requirement”

“Child abuse in politics? It is a right wing requirement. Lonesome Rhodes: ‘when we do it it’s cool, when you do it, you’re Hitler.’” Keith Olbermann shockingly declares Glenn Beck (a.k.a. ‘Lonesome Rhodes‘) his “Worst Person in the World” and, well, declares right-wing media figures and politicians to be child abusers.
