Harder News: John King Becomes CNN’s New 7pmET Host
We now know who will replace long time CNN host Lou Dobbs, who left the network abruptly yesterday.
The new 7pmET host will be John King, a rising star at the network who began anchoring a four-hour Sunday block earlier this year. But the shuffle means he’ll be leaving the Sunday show at the beginning of next year when he begins hosting the weekday show.

In what sounded like the beginning of a campaign stump speech, Lou Dobbs announced on his program tonight on CNN that he was leaving the network, effective immediately.
He said he would “engage in constructive problem solving,” and will “pursue new opportunities – at this point I’m considering a number of options and directions.”
