Bill O’Reilly Enjoys Some Daily Show Obama Jokes

O'Reilly Late Night

While Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann were pointing to new Gallup poll numbers to show that President Obama and the Dems totally aren’t in trouble in November, Bill O’Reilly was looking at late night comedy monologues to show that they totally are. O’Reilly was proposing the idea that there has been a turn as of late, with liberal comedians finally starting to make jokes about Barack Obama.

This Exists: Right Wing News Lists 20 Hottest Conservative Women

Nov09-ml

In what seems to have become an annual rite, there’s a new list out counting down the top 20 conservative hotties (new media edition), and while I have great appreciation for conservative new media hotties, and I love Countdown, I’m not a big fan of this effort.

Bernie Goldberg: Those In The “Elite Media Bubble…See Racism Everywhere”

OREILLY_GOLDBERG_RACE video

On the O’Reilly Factor last night, Bernie Goldberg did not shy away from calling out the reverse racist ways of those who he considers the “liberal elite media bubble.” In attacking MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell‘s calling out of comments made earlier by Newt Gingrich, Goldberg implied that nearly all journalists “see racism everywhere.” Video after the jump.

O’Reilly: I Cover Less African-Americans For Fear Of Racism Charges

oreilly_gingrich_race video

Former Speaker of the House and potential 2012 Republican candidate Newt Gingrich made some news this weekend when he tied the very high unemployment rates with President Obama’s proclivity for playing basketball in his free time. MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell saw racial insensitivity in the comment; Bill O’Reilly called foul, and also dmitted how his coverage has changed since receiving charges of racial insensitivity.

Matt Lewis Leaves Townhall to the Inmates

Conservative columnist Matt Lewis has announced, via his Twitter feed, that he is leaving Townhall.com. The split is mutual and amicable, and the world will continue to enjoy his wit and wisdom on the pages of Politics Daily, but his departure from Townhall completes a mini-exodus of influential commentators from the site. What’s left isn’t all that pretty.

Malkin Denounces Beck, Limbaugh ‘Prostitute’ Rhetoric on Landrieu

video

Criticism of Senator Mary Landrieu is turning ugly after allegedly changing her position on health care reform after receiving $300 million in aid to her home state. The right’s two most prominent commentators – Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh referred to Landrieu as a prostitute. Keith Olbermann has asked where was the outrage from the conservative feminists (video below). We decided to go and find it.

White House Declares War On Hitler References

Robert Gibbs’ answer to David Corn of Mother Jones’ last question at Friday’s briefing is getting considerable attention from the right. Corn asked Gibbs about House Republican leader John Boehner’s declaration that the House health care bill was the “greatest threat to freedom” he’s ever seen. Gibbs’ response was worth a slight chuckle, but they ignore his larger point.

3 Out Of 4 Of Keith Olbermann’s ‘Worst Persons’ Respond

On Monday night’s “Countdown,” Keith Olbermann granted the Worst Persons gold to a quartet of conservative figures for jumping the gun when tweeting about White House visitors on Friday. Mediaite has exclusive reactions from three of them: Amanda Carpenter, Mary Katherine Ham, and Ed Morrissey. Why? Mostly because we can.

Where Were You A Year Ago Today?

Where were you a year ago today? If you are a political journalist — or media hanger-on — chances are you were living out of a suitcase at the 2008 Presidential Conventions, with the Dems nominating Barack Obama in Denver and the GOP nominating John McCain in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Remember those heady days?

DNC “Angry Mob” Ad Spurs Online Uproar, Questions About Accuracy

The Democratic National Committee released a web ad Tuesday that seems to have hit a “Marathon Man”-style nerve with conservatives online. Entitled “Enough of the Mob,” the ad features clips of recent disruptions at health care town hall meetings, including a “Birther” with what looks like a large wonton wrapper in a Ziploc bag.
