Sarah Palin Documentary The Undefeated Takes Box Office Silver* Behind Harry Potter

Sarah-Palin-The-Undefeated

The new Sarah Palin (R-Fox) documentary The Undefeated has been the subject of copious mockery by the media, and while the negative reviews and observations about its counter-intuitive title may be deserved, attempts to cast the film as a box office crater aren’t exactly fair. While the film’s reported $75,000 take doesn’t sound like much, its $7500 per-screen average was enough to place it second only to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Ectoplasmic Boogaloo?) by that metric.

A Tale of Two Speeches: Sarah Palin and Barack Obama on the Tragedy in Tucson

The tragic events in Tucson this past weekend left the nation shaken, and sparked a divisive debate over the tone of our politics. On Wednesday, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin released a video address on the mass shooting, many hours in advance of President Obama‘s speech at a memorial service in Tucson.

Breaking: Sarah Palin has said something negative about the media. Today, the ex-governor chatted with the hosts of Anchorage’s Bob & Mark Morning Show—and, sure enough, the talk soon turned to the mean old people of the press. Specifically, Palin was discussing former Mediaite contributor John Ziegler‘s documentary, Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted.

‘Media Malpractice’ Filmmaker John Ziegler on Film’s Wide Re-release

Media_Malpractice

Media Malpractice, John Ziegler‘s 2009 film that turned the media narrative of the 2008 election on its head, played like a Rocky movie on crack to conservative audiences when it was released. However, the film, despite featuring newsmaking exclusives with then-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, didn’t find much of an audience beyond that.

Two years (and one midterm election) later, an updated version of Ziegler’s film is set to be re-released to retail stores, and will be available on demand to 80 million cable subscribers. We talked to Ziegler about his hopes for the film to find a wider audience in post-Tea Party America, and what it might mean for the film’s de facto star, Sarah Palin.

John Ziegler On Sarah Palin: ‘Brilliant’ But ‘Can’t Beat Barack Obama’

John Ziegler was back on the air with his favorite sparring partner this morning, MSNBC, in an interview with Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe.

And the Sarah Palin filmmaker and fan had mostly positive things to say about the former VP nominee – although some surprisingly negative comments as well.

John Ziegler’s Review of “By The People…The Election of Barack Obama”

opinion

I am pretty sure I have a unique perspective from which to comment on HBO’s just released documentary “By the People… The Election of Barack Obama.” After all, I am the creator of the only major documentary on the 2008 election (“Media Malpractice… How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted”).
