Meghan McCain stopped by MSNBC to chat with Thomas Roberts about, among other things, Game Change, the upcoming HBO movie based on a book that professes to offer a deeper look behind the scenes of the 2008 McCain / Palin campaign.

Fox News’s Eric Bolling responded to MSNBC contributor Meghan McCain comments on The Tonight Show comparing herself to Ronald Reagan by lambasting her as “one of the dumbest people on MSNBC.” “In the steam train of conventional wisdom, she is the caboose,” Greg Gutfeld exclaimed. “By the time she said it — 100 other people said it.”

Appearing on Wednesday night’s Tonight Show, The Tonight Show, MSNBC contributor Meghan McCain compared herself to US President Ronald Reagan, saying if he had ran today “he would be called a dirty moderate like me, unfortunately.”

John McCain, who before joining MSNBC was famous for tweeting a provocative photo of her breasts, joined Lawrence O’Donnell last night to discuss her father’s endorsement of Mitt Romney. Other than stating the obvious about Romney (“[his sons] are just perfect and beautiful”) she took the time to call someone else a “moron”– namely, Rick Santorum who, had Sen. McCain endorsed him, “I mean, I’d be, like, slitting my wrists” over it.

On Wednesday’s edition of Now with Alex Wagner, the eponymous host asked MSNBC commentator Meghan McCain if her party was in crisis. McCain trashed the Iowa caucus and dreaded the rise of surging Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum. “My father did not become the nominee having anything to do with the Iowa caucus. I find it completely irrelevant. If Rick Santorum becomes the nominee of this party, I mean, it is going to be bedlam and hysteria like you have never seen.”

Newt Gingrich kept his highly-publicized feud with Meghan McCain alive Wednesday, hitting back at the MSNBC contributor on Laura Ingraham’s show. Earlier in the week, the spunky conservative pundit trashed Gingrich’s wife, Callista, on MSNBC’s Now with Alex Wagner:

On Monday’s Now with Alex Wagner, MSNBC contributor Meghan McCain was beside herself over Republican frontrunner Newt Gingrich‘s physical absence from Iowa, just weeks away from the caucuses, also expressing disgust over his comments on judicial activism. “I can’t handle it!” McCain exclaimed. “As a Republican, this is the end of the Republican Party if we nominate this man.”

Meghan McCain is no fan of Newt Gingrich– this she has made as public as can be. With new attacks surfacing at Gingrich for his treatment of Rep. Michele Bachmann a Thursday’s debate– namely, that such treatment was sexist– McCain appeared on MSNBC today to confirm that his behavior “can obviously be interpreted as sexist,” and that, while she was no Rep. Bachmann, she had been on the other side of it herself.

Meghan McCain sat down with Jay Leno on Friday’s Tonight Show and spoke candidly on the Republican candidates, comparing the process of picking a nominee to speed dating. McCain slammed Newt Gingrich‘s campaign as a “vanity project” and slighted him as “this week’s fling” for Republicans, lamenting how the process has turned into an “anybody but Romney” affair. “He seems to be rising — hot air balloons do that,” Leno snarked.

According to a story by Bill Carter in Monday’s New York Times, NBC will announce today that Chelsea Clinton has been hired to work on the station’s “Making a Difference” series, which highlights the good deeds and works of everyday people. Meghan McCain stopped by and chatted with Jay Leno last night to talk about her dating life and appearing “naked” in a PSA for skin cancer. Leno brought up Glenn Beck‘s much criticized response to the commercial and McCain took on Beck, with much approval from the studio audience.

Just last week, Glenn Beck joked about being physically ill after seeing Meghan McCain appear to be naked in a PSA. Instantly, the country erupted into outrage with even Beck’s friends distancing themselves from the comment. Yesterday, Beck repeated the same exact fake-vomit joke after looking at a picture of Mildred “Patty” Baena, the mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s child born out of wedlock. Beck’s radio co-hosts warned him against going down that road as he started making comments but he did it anyway. And, then, a funny thing happened…no one said a thing.

Glenn Beck has gotten nothing but tongue-lashings for his recent theatrical vomiting at the mention of Meghan McCain‘s body, and he ended the week with one final slap on the wrist from colleague Bill O’Reilly. While Beck tried to justify his behavior compared to the controversial comments made by rapper Common, O’Reilly had none of it and commended McCain’s mother, Cindy, for striking back at Beck.

Whatever you think about Glenn Beck or Meghan McCain, it’d be pretty hard to find someone who thinks the Fox News host’s vomit-jokes about McCain’s skin cancer PSA was a good PR move. Even Don Imus, who considers Beck a “buddy,” said today that he would “have a word” with the guy on the subject. If they do discuss it, Beck should listen to Imus. He’s a person who knows a lot about the trouble one can get into for dissing a young woman’s personal appearance on the radio.

Yesterday on his radio show, Glenn Beck, perhaps a little groggy from just getting off a plane from Israel, made the incredibly ill-advised decision to spend nearly 10 minutes fake vomiting at a skin cancer PSA in which Meghan McCain pretends to be nude. Cindy McCain quickly defended her daughter on Twitter and now Meghan herself has responded in her latest Daily Beast column. The title really says it all; “Shut Up About My Body, Glenn Beck.”
