Chris Matthews: Tea Party Miners Would’ve Killed Each Other

According to the ratings trend in cable news coverage, you probably didn’t catch Chris Matthews on Hardball last night. Which is a shame, because Matthews did his best to reward those who tuned in, telling MSNBC viewers that if the Chilean miners were under Tea Party influence, “They wouldn’t have gotten out. They would’ve been killing each other.”

Just when you thought you’d seen it all. BBC News Presenter Ray Gosling found an odd, yet strangely poignant time to admit to killing his former lover who was dying of AIDS – while hosting a BBC documentary on death and dying. Police are now investigating the admission, and an online debate is now raging on whether or not this was assisted suicide or murder. The stunning video admission is after the jump.

Times Reporter Covering Sinatra “My Way” Murders Is Killing It Lately

Perhaps you have already read the article in the New York Times World section today about the enormous amount of violence in the Philippines that seems to be caused by karaoke renditions of Frank Sinatra‘s “My Way.” Things have apparently gotten so bad that the Filipino media records the crimes under the subcategory of “My Way Killings.” But the reporter on this story, Norimitsu Onishi, is notable himself, consistently getting American audiences interested in Asian news.
