Obama Puts White Sox Fandom Aside, Congratulates The Yankees

President Obama met with the New York Yankees today in the White House to commemorate their 2009 World Series title. The ceremony lasted roughly 20 minutes, and took place in the East Room.

Obama, a noted Chicago White Sox fan, joked that if his hometown team had famed Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, they “would have won more world titles.”
