Mike Tyson has some opinions about Sarah Palin. The following audio probably needs little more introduction for one familiar with the contents of Joe McGinniss‘s new book The Rogue, and yet no description could do the astronomical levels of insult in this clip justice. Attempting to compliment alleged Palin paramour (of several decades ago) NBA star Glen Rice as a “wonderful man,” Tyson found said tryst hilarious, and suggested Dennis Rodman as a more suitable mate for Palin instead. It only went downhill from there.

The various ways many on the left describe their distrust of the Tea Party seem to be growing ever more graphic– so argued Bill O’Reilly tonight in response to Rep. Andre Carson‘s comment that the Tea Party “wanted to see us [African Americans] hanging from a tree.” On a panel in which O’Reilly and talk radio host Tammy Bruce decried the comments, Alan Colmes was left to attempt to explain the rationale behind the comment, despite emphasizing he “wouldn’t use that language.”

Pitting newly minted host Al Sharpton against longtime conservative firebrand Pat Buchanan was bound to generate a potent shouting match, no matter what the topic. But given Buchanan’s record of questionable comments, it’s hard not to find something off-color about his debate with Sharpton today, where, discussing the debt, he argues that “your boy,” President Obama, was “whipped” by Sen. Mitch McConnell, and adds a “briar patch” reference for good measure.

Somewhere in the formidable daily pile of snail mail to the White House today, President Obama received an apology from a Republican Congressman– and no, it had nothing to do with the debt ceiling debate. Colorado Rep. Doug Lamborn excused himself in writing today for comments on a Colorado AM radio show where he said he was afraid of associating with the President because he was a “tar baby.” He claims it’s not what it sounds like.

The Vancouver Sun reports on an explosion of racially-charged slurs in the comments section of Free Republic, a popular conservative blog: “‘A typical street whore.’ ‘A bunch of ghetto thugs.’ ‘Ghetto street trash.’ ‘Wonder when she will get her first abortion.’ These are a small selection of some of the racially-charged comments posted to the conservative ‘Free Republic’ blog Thursday, aimed at U.S. President Barack Obama’s 11-year-old daughter Malia.”
