Friday Night Ratings: The Five Beats All Cable News Competitors Combined In Demo & Total Viewers
Fox News’ The Five topped all of their competition combined on Friday in both demo and total viewership. Scoring 352,000 in the demo and 1,639,000 in total viewing audience, the powerhouse quintet of Eric Bolling, Greg Gutfeld, Andrea Tantaros, Bob Beckel and Dana Perino dominated their 5pm timeslot for yet another night.
Thursday Ratings: Ed Schultz Scores Higher In Demo/Total Viewers Than CNN/HLN Combined At 8PM
Ed Schultz‘s The Ed Show put up some impressive numbers Thursday, topping both CNN and HLN combined in the demo. Schultz averaged 230,000 viewers more than Anderson Cooper and Nancy Grace‘s respective programs put together. Schultz has been a tour-de-force at the network with his steadily strong 8pm slot ratings performance for MSNBC over the past couple of months.
Wednesday Ratings: In 7pm Hour, Shep Smith Beats All Competitors Combined
Sometimes, trying to wring a few quick sentences out of these ratings every day is like trying to write episodic recaps of a test signal. It never ever changes. So, on a night like last night, where shows that do well all did well and shows that do less well all did less well, you have to get creative. Which is why, after staring at these numbers for 20 minutes, I finally noticed that Shepard Smith beat all of his 7pm competitors combined in the demo.

Good Morning America Beats Today For First Time Since 1995
ABC’s Good Morning America edged out NBC’s The Today Show for the first time since December 1995, the New York Times‘ Brian Stelter reports.
According to preliminary Nielsen ratings for the week of April 9, ABC averaged 5,147,000 viewers — 13,000 more than NBC’s 5,134,000. That said, Today continues to lead GMA in viewers within the key age 25-54 demo.
