Barney Frank, the controversial Massachusetts congressman whose name will continue to be election-year fodder as co-author of the “Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act,” is expected to announce on Monday, in Newton, Mass., that he will retire from politics and not seek re-election in 2012.

Roger Simon, Politico’s chief political columnist, sat down with White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley (pictured here alongside Barack Obama) to discuss what the future might have in store for the Obama White House.

Daley noted that Obama would be “Angry! Pissed! Unhappy! Frustrated!” at the prospect of ending up a one-term president.
