Rosie O’Donnell spoke with CNN’s Piers Morgan about the GOP race, and discussed the anti-gay rhetoric being espoused in some of the various campaigns. “We’re a backward nation in many ways,” O’Donnell observed. “That’s one of the ways most evident nowadays especially with the election — to think you can turn on the presidential debate and you can have people actually say they think being gay is wrong is shocking in 2012. It’s shocking to me.”

Now that Donald Trump has left his position as moderator of the Newsmax debate, he’s left himself open again to pursue something more important; to do that which his fans – nay, the country – truly want of him. Truly need from him.

New OWN host Rosie O’Donnell appeared on Joy Behar‘s HLN show, in part to talk a little smack about the current crop of GOP presidential hopefuls.

After describing Trump as being “like Lord Voldemort” and performing an impression of the reality TV star for Behar, O’Donnell shared that he was the “perfect” person to moderate a GOP debate. “I don’t even believe it’s real anymore!”

Wednesday night, Bill O’Reilly focused his attention on Oprah Winfrey‘s struggling OWN network and on its hope that actress, TV personality and prolific blogger Rosie O’Donnell might be able to lend it a dose of star power and a healthy boost in viewership with The Rosie Show. He brought on marketing strategist Laura Ries and New York Post reporter Sean Daly to discuss.

Ries agreed with O’Reilly assessment that O’Donnell is a risky choice for the network given she has “staked a claim in far-left territory” throughout her career, but that it’s a risk the flagging network has to take in the hopes of injecting some sort of interest into its programming. Daly weighed in, opining that the network would have to keep “a tight rein” on the actress, which was met with more than a smidge of skepticism by O’Reilly.

Rosie O’Donnell is making some waves suggesting America may have become the type of “monsters” we loathe with our targeted killing of Osama bin Laden. Uncomfortable with the wild celebrations last week of “drunken fraternity boys” celebrating Bin Laden’s death in New York and Washington, Rosie also reveals that she expects America to be an example for how we want other countries to act and was disappointed we were not the leader of morality and fairness here.

As speculation continues that Donald Trump may be planning to run for President, there’s no doubt that his brash, willing to say anything attitude is shaking up the political world. However, on his path towards success, Trump made plenty of enemies and now might be the time that some of them are waiting for, in order to extract maximum revenge.

It may not have been what Chris Brown had in mind, but it appears the disgraced star has finally found an ally in the celebrity world: Rosie O’Donnell, who on her radio show this week accused his detractors (and ABC host Robin Roberts) of racism for maligning his window-breaking behavior more than, she argues, the equivalent by white stars. A name notably absent from O’Donnell’s analysis? Rihanna.

Earlier on his radio show, Rush Limbaugh complained about the joint press conference with Chinese President Hu Jintao and how Jintao was not being translated. After the ladies of The View continued to talk about the issue of whether saying Muslims– and not Muslim extremists– attacked the United States on 9/11, O’Reilly rebutted them in his “Talking Points Memo,” taking on Goldberg, Behar, Barbara Walters, and even Rosie O’Donnell.

The recent scuffle between Bill O’Reilly and the ladies of, of all shows, The View, has rekindled an image of O’Reilly as a hard-line, aggressive conservative voice that many thought had mellowed out as of late. Is this Mike Huckabee attempting to position himself as the voice of GOP reason heading in to 2012, or merely have his political cake and eat it too? Dick Robertson, former president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, is one of the driving forces behind the show.
