Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has taken to her trademark social media platforms to deliver some oddly Twitzophrenic reactions to the recent Wikileaks document dump. On her Twitter feed, Palin compares the Wikileaks scandal to her legal battle against Gawker’s leak of excerpts from her book, while Facebook Palin wonders why the Obama administration isn’t treating Wikileaks just like al Qaeda and the Taliban. Palin’s scattershot reactions are emblematic of the partisan feeding frenzy over the still-developing response to Wikileaks.

While Sarah Palin is popular with various groups of Americans, there’s one group of Britons with whom she is becoming increasingly unpopular: Sarah Palins. Esquire reports that “the Sarah Palins of the world are not exactly enjoying this election cycle.” Snippets from the Facebook messages received by random Palins include: “You should never have been born,” “You bitch,” and “You’ve insulted every single black American.”

Sarah Palin is back on her Facebook page (arguably the most newsworthy Facebook page of all time), this time calling out Barack Obama for reminding 47 foreign leaders that America could still turn their nations into a pile of ash 30 times over. Besides keeping track of the Olympics and chastising Seth MacFarlane, Sarah Palin has found a new subject for her Facebook Notes section: talking about Barack Obama‘s health care plan.

Early this morning, Fox News contributor Sarah Palin blasted Fox Hollywood for the recent Family Guy episode that took a pretty hard-to-miss jab at her special needs son, Trig Palin (Family Guy son Chris Griffin was dating a girl with Down’s Syndrome…whose mother was the former governor of Alaska). On Facebook, naturally.

Saturday Night Live‘s Andy Samberg took a profanity-filled turn as White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel in a segment referred to as “An Even Tempered Apology.” It was, predictably, anything but, as Samberg’s Emanuel unleashed on a tirade of f-bombs and insults. He hit the progressive Democrats (“f*cking turncoats”) over “Retardgate,” but then set his sights on Sarah Palin, who called for his resignation on Facebook. The nicest thing he calls her is a “gimmick.”

The former governor of Alaska has had her share of ups and downs with the internet, but certainly made a name for herself speaking directly to followers. Yesterday, after a relative lull on Facebook, Sarah Palin fired off two new notes, working in a few jabs at Obama over his handling of the war in Afghanistan and his position on energy.

They’re further proof of Palin’s ability to stay in the spotlight much longer than most would have expected in January.

Over the holiday weekend, soon-to-be-former Alaska Governor Palin’s story just got weirder. Her surprise resignation Friday had the surreal quality of a Rod Blagojevich presser being filmed by Fellini. Since then, she has engaged in a flame war with critics. Complicating matters is the fact that she kinda has a point.
