Justice Alito Comes Close To Heckling Obama’s SCOTUS Remarks

Can this be considered the equivalent of a Supreme Court heckle? Close to an hour into his address tonight President Obama called out the Supreme Court’s recent decision to remove all limits on what corporations can spend on an election and to their faces. Justice Alito was not happy.

CitizenTube Streams Interactive SOTU, Make It a Party in the USA

The Salahis won’t have to sneak by the secret service because, tonight, CitizenTube is bringing Obama to them. That’s right. Tonight, CitizenTube, YouTube’s interactive political vlog, will livestream the State of the Union at 9 p.m.and, for the first time in history, make it social. If this doesn’t solidify social media’s place in more traditional news and politics, then I don’t know what will.

Considering how many speeches President Obama has made in the last twelve months it’s hard to get too worked up about tonight’s State of the Union. Nevertheless, it’s technically Obama’s first, and filled with pomp and circumstance. Moreover, who knows what Joe Wilson may or may not holler? Some predictions.

Olbermann Is Neither Fair Nor Balanced On Obama’s Spending Freeze

Isn’t Countdown host Keith Olbermann supposed to be inside some kind of tank for President Obama? That’s what I keep hearing, but you wouldn’t know it to watch his segment on the POTUS’ proposed SOTU spending freeze. It’s one thing to say that the freeze is a gimmick and a bad idea, but quite another thing to not tell the whole story. For a guy who constantly mocks Fox News’ “Fair and Balanced” slogan, Keith displayed a marked lack of both.

If President Obama’s goal this week was to alienate and anger just about everyone than it would seem he has succeeded. Last night’s late-breaking news that the president would announce a three year spending freeze on most domestic programs during tomorrow’s State of the Union has met with angry responses on the left — Obama is the new Hoover!
