As Gov. Rick Perry is getting more attention in anticipation of his presidential run, the media is naturally turning its magnifying glass on his record as governor in Texas and, in particular, his decision to both rail against and accept stimulus money from the federal government.
Michael Moore, Branding Genius, Suggests Re-Naming Stimulus ‘The Clitoris Bill’
In a bit of ingenious re-branding, Real Time with Bill Maher guest Michael Moore suggested that, as long as Democrats are using “gynecological terms” like stimulus, “Why not call it a clitoris? Here, we have a clitoris plan for you.”

Senator Harry Reid finds himself in a fight for his political life against GOP opponent Sharron Angle, but he may have made the odds for getting reelected as Senator a little tougher with recent comments that have drawn cackles from his critics. During an interview with MSNBC host Ed Schultz, Reid made the rather stunning claim that “but for me, we’d be in a worldwide depression.” Wait. Say what?

White House Targets Another News Outlet; Calls Out ‘Misleading’ AP Story
On the heels of what might be the beginning of a truce between Fox News and the Obama administration, the White House is now calling out another major news organization. Late last night, the White House’s Recovery Implementation Office released a detailed rebuttal of what it called a “misleading” report by the Associated Press. While the AP hasn’t been stripped of its legitimacy, the reaction does seem a little bit harsh.
