While the aftermath of the attempted Times Square bombing has been overwhelmingly positive, the frightful possibility of a successful Times Square bombing was still looming over Studio B, where Shepard Smith repeatedly emphasized that the good news on Sunday morning could largely be attributed to luck, and that claiming the t-shirt vendor heralded for calling the police “thwarted” the bomb was simply “not true.”

FNC’s Shepard Smith interviewed one of the heroes of the attempted Times Square car bomb plot, Duane Jackson, a “street vendors who helped alert the cops.”

Jackson detailed his morning, which included a visit to FBI headquarters…and a call from the President.

This story would have already been newsworthy based on the fact that someone with Judge Andrew Napolitano‘s legal background thinks asking people about their ethnic background is unconstitutional. Discussing the topic with Shepard Smith on “Studio B”, however, it seemed Shep was the one truly incensed by the US Census’ invasion of privacy, noting that “some of those same people who are going to bitch about” people like Napolitano have kept quiet about the census. Oops.

FNC’s Shepard Smith and RNC Chairman Michael Steele had a heated exchange today over the language being used by Steele and other GOP leaders to describe just how bad this health care bill actually is.

The major part of the disagreement stemmed from the use of the word “Armageddon” by Steele – but Shep also put Steele on the spot with his plan to fire Nancy Pelosi.
