John King Denies Magic Wall “Meltdown” (But Wasn’t Happy With Show’s Open)

This morning, Page Six published an item entitled “John King’s magical wall sent him over the edge just days before the election.” The story goes that a malfunction involving the “magic wall,” CNN’s giant touch screen, caused King to have an “onset meltdown” which led to a private reprimanding Turner Broadcasting System CEO and chairman Phil Kent. King has released a statement calling the report a “fantasy” – but he was clearly pissed about something that day.

The saucy gossip girls at the Washington Examiner’s Yeas and Nays column did a little Grindr experiment and found the Pentagon and the White House were full of guys looking to “meet” other guys. Grindr, for the uninitiated, is a GPS-based application for the iPhone and Blackberry that allows gay guys to find other gay guys in the local area just by starting up the app and letting the GPS narrow down the possibilities.

Sean Penn’s Camp Boots Reporter For Asking About “Rectal Cancer” Statement

After Sean Penn told CBS News that critics who question his involvement in the Haiti relief fund should all die “screaming of rectal cancer,” you’d think that the actor would be willing to amend/explain his statement to the press. Not so: When Washington Examiner reporter Tara Palmeri asked Penn about his statement, she was publicly yelled at by Penn, threatened by his publicist C.J. Jordan and removed by police from a gala at the Washington Hebrew Congregation. Palmeri was on Fox’s Red Eye this morning to discuss the incident.
