Should NBC Sue An Olympics Tip-Off Site?

Pissed that the Winter Olympics were being shown on taped delay on NBC, a lot of Americans chose to do the 21st century thing and bypass their television sets all together. Even though NBC’s Olympic numbers were strong this year, some are postulating that an article in NewTeeVee which explained in detail how to watch an online stream of the games might be in violation of NBC’s copyright laws.

Rupert Murdoch Decries Web “Parasites” Yet Exploits Aggregation

Rupert Murdoch dropped the hint that he was thinking about pulling The Wall Street Journal’s content from Google earlier this week, decrying them and other aggregators as “parasites.” Conveniently overlooked: plenty of News Corporation sites pull content from other sites, some extensively.

Glenn Beck vs. the “Rape and Murder” Site

Last week, we wrote about Glenn Beck 1990, the Fark-spawned project to spread the meme of asking if Beck “raped and murdered a young girl in 1990.” This site has emerged as its hub. Well, Beck’s lawyers heard about it too, and are muscling in on it — but is that a good idea?
