Details are continuing to emerge about the tragic events happening today in Oslo. A terrorist group known as Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, or “Helpers of the Global Jihad” has released a statement claiming responsibility for the attacks, that have been responsible for the deaths of seven people so far, according to The New York Times. The AP reports that the bombings of government buildings are connected to a man dressed up as a police officer who opened fire on a group of Labor party members earlier today. The man was soon arrested by Norwegian police. UPDATE – the individual has been identified as a Norwegian native and appears to have no affiliation with Islamic extremists.

Rapper Lupe Fiasco, né Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, appeared on The O’Reilly Factor tonight to discuss recent statements he made calling President Barack Obama a “terrorist.” The interview culminated, as one might have expected, in a shouting match between Fiasco and host Bill O’Reilly about the very nature of the so-called war on terror.

Remember that Congressman who was angry that airport security randomly patted down a grandma and a child, but let a man in “Arabian dress” pass through? Well Republican Congressman Paul Broun is back, this time on Fox News, and he’s not retreating from his demand that the TSA start focusing on the “real” terrorists, which apparently might include anyone in “Arabian attire.”

Oklahoma senator Jim Inhofe, a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and one of the few politicians who was given a look at the much-discussed photos of Osama Bin Laden‘s corpse at CIA headquarters, decided to share details of the images with Fox News’ Shepard Smith.

Fox News legal analyst Lis Wiehl stopped by to chat with Neil Cavuto about a lawsuit being prepared by Osama bin Laden‘s children against the United States for what they are calling the “execution” of their father. Does she think the younger bin Laden’s have a case? Absolutely not, she said, and, in fact, even researching the proposed suit made her roll her eyes.

Various politicians and pundits have already weighed in on whether or not the White House should release photographs and video footage of the raid that recently ended in Osama bin Laden’s death, and, now, the Associated Press is adding its own two cents.

Now, the former Governor of Alaska is using social media to speak out about the White House’s decision not to release photos of bin Laden’s corpse.

We’ve been anxiously awaiting the White House’s decision on whether or not it would release any of the photos from the raid on Osama bin Laden‘s compound – especially an image of bin Laden’s corpse taken after the fact. Well, the wait is over: White House press secretary Jay Carney today announced that a decision has been made and it’s a staunch “no, we won’t be releasing any images.”

Yesterday, we asked you all whether you felt the White House should release photos of Osama bin Laden‘s corps was put out to sea. As of this posting, 95.64% of voters felt the photos should definitely be released to the public, with many of you commenting that this would provide proof and closure, as well as a way to possibly satiate conspiracy theorists.

Well, there’s some good news for that 95.64%: There’s been some buzz this morning that the White House is indeed preparing to release the photos.

Should the U.S. government release photographic evidence that the man brought down by an elite group of specially trained Navy SEALS is, in fact, Osama bin Laden? That’s the question with which government officials currently find themselves wrestling.

Much has been made about the U.S.’s decision to dispose of Osama bin Laden‘s body within 24 hours, in accordance to Islamic tradition. Senator Lindsey Graham, for one, weighed in on the matter this morning, saying he wasn’t so sure this was “a wise move” on the U.S.’s part. Now, however, some Islamic scholars are arguing that dumping bin Laden’s body into the Indian Ocean may actually go against religious tradition.

South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham (R) spoke to Fox News Radio’s “Kilmeade and Friends” this morning about the recent capture and death of Osama bin Laden – and, as it turns out, he has some pretty definite opinions about what the U.S. should have done with the terrorist leader’s body.

For one, Senator Graham thinks the U.S. definitely should release photographic evidence of bin Laden’s death – regardless of protocol stipulated by the Geneva Convention – albeit in a “sensitive way.”

Before Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer had time to share his cheerful holiday poem, CBS Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Lara Logan, provided viewers with a sobering reality about the ongoing war on terror. In addition to saying everyone knows Osama bin Laden is in Pakistan, she also claimed most other terrorist leaders are hiding out there as well, and displayed disappointment with U.S. foreign policy for not more aggressively handling the situation.

Republican Representative Peter King, the soon-to-be Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, appeared on Fox News Channel with host Jamie Colby and discussed his plans to hold hearings on the “radicalization” of Muslim Americans.

Authorities have detained Mohamed Osman Mohamud, a naturalized former Somali citizen and 19-year-old sophomore at Oregon State, in an attempt to bomb a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland, Oregon yesterday. The FBI had been tracking Mohamud for six months before giving him a fake bomb and arresting him as he “executed” the bombing.
