Obama Set To Appear On One Of Oprah’s Last Shows

While Oprah Winfrey may not be officially endorsing Barack Obama in 2012, she’s still a fan and with her seminal talk show coming to a close in May, it’s no surprise she’s bringing the President back in for one last interview. Gossip Cop has the details of Obama’s final appearance on the show, set to tape later this month.

From Gossip Cop:

“President Obama will pay his respects to Oprah on April 27.

The Commander-in-Chief and Michelle Obama are set to tape a farewell interview at Harpo Studios with the talk show queen, whose final show is May 25.

The Obamas will then remain in Chicago for three fundraisers.”

The latest (and last) meeting of the most powerful O’s in the world will air on May 2.

Conan O’Brien Skewers Oprah’s Favorite Things In Hilarious Video

Oh, man, is this funny. Last night, Conan O’Brien showed a little video highlighting how a special “Favorite Things” episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show could go horribly wrong and it is hilarious. So hilarious that I can’t really write anything else because I don’t want to give away the joke. But I need a full introductory paragraph so… Everyone excited about turkey? That’s good.

One interesting thing to note is that O’Brien could have just showed a popular Internet supercut video like this recent one. Then, of course, he’d have to find a way to credit it and Jay Leno learned, this week, how tough that is.

Oprah Explains Why She’s Leaving Her Show

Oprah Winfrey confirmed the news that broke yesterday afternoon – she would be ending her show. Brian Stelter reports that the talk show host told her television audience this morning, “After much prayer and months of careful thought, I’ve decided the next season, season 25, will be the last season of ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show.’” Reports say that she is ending her successful daytime talk show in September 2011.

She is expected to concentrate on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, a cable channel that will bear her name and have its premiere in January 2011. A press release put out by Harpo (Oprah’s production company) revealed “plans to appear and participate in new programming for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.”
