Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly lashed out against the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision to overturn California’s Proposition 8. “California voters, basically just two judges said, ‘you know what?’ We don’t really care about you!” O’Reilly exclaimed. “What do you want really doesn’t matter because we say this is unconstitutional to deny gays the right to marry.”

On Thursday night’s O’Reilly Factor, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly excoriated Miami Herald writer Joy-Ann Reid for criticizing Mitt Romney over giving an impoverished black woman a wad of cash on the campaign trail. “The governor helps a woman out. The woman appreciates it very much and there you have this pinhead from the Miami Herald saying that it’s a racial stereotype.”

The Five is clearly Fox News’ golden child (they even got a damn New York Times profile!) and so, as the old veterans are out vacationing it up, the network is giving their favorite new superstars run of the place. Greg Gutfeld guested for Bill O’Reilly last night, Eric Bolling’s doing it tonight, Kimberly Guilfoyle is stepping in for Greta Van Susteren, and Andrea Tantaros sometimes does double duty on the radio. As they were all discussing their good fortune at the close of the show today, one lingering question remained; won’t somebody think of Bob Beckel?

Fox News’s Greg Gutfeld tackled the often vexing world of prime time on Tuesday when he tried to fill some big shows hosting Fox News’s top-ranked show The O’Reilly Factor. It was an equal-parts bold and odd choice, putting the network’s oft-times unpredictable, distinctly snarky and libertarian-minded funnyman as replacement host of the Fox News flagship program. But would Gutfeld measure as O’Reilly’s FNC tent-pole?

On Friday’s The O’Reilly Factor, Rick Perry was questioned about his controversial new ad criticizing President Obama for an out-of-context comment he made about Chinese investments and spinning it as Obama calling Americans “lazy.” “So is that a fair ad?” Bill O’Reilly asked the Texas Governor. O’Reilly later played the president’s statement in full and found Obama hadn’t really said what Perry’s ad had claimed.

A few months ago, Dennis Miller offered an endorsement of Herman Cain in typical Miller fashion, asking his radio show audience if he could tell them “how jazzed I am about this guy?” However, following a number of gaffes on Cain’s part, Miller rescinded that endorsement last night on The O’Reilly Factor. He was blunter in his language this time, telling Bill O’Reilly that he was “off the Cain Train” simply because “he can’t win!”

Tavis Smiley and Cornel West appeared on The O’Reilly Factor last night and engaged in a spirited debate with host Bill O’Reilly over poverty, corruption in the financial sector and a jobless rate that is growing to nearly 20% in African-American demographic. The two sides of the debate represented distinct ideological points-of-view, which made for a remarkably compelling discussion of various of hot topics in the news, namely Occupy Wall Street and a struggling economy.

It’s already begun. The looming shadow of President Obama’s “Warren Buffett tax” has begun covering the ground, frightening the cute and cuddly Job Creators back inside their burrows (or their summer burrows in the Hamptons, or that little burrow off the coast of Italy that they bought on a whim but just don’t have any time to go to!) and meaning that we’ll all be stuck in cold, cold recession for at least a few more months.

Fox News media analyst Bernie Goldberg appeared on The O’Reilly Factor last night and predictably ridiculed AttackWatch, the website recently launched by the Obama campaign designed to “get the facts, fight the smears.” While host Bill O’Reilly was somewhat dismissive of the campaign marketing effort, he didn’t exactly share Goldberg’s level of outrage and mockery, correctly observing that the hotly debated website was a basic marketing effort.

Fresh from her confrontational interview with Dr. Keith Ablow over his transphobic Chaz Bono editorial, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly appeard on The O’Reilly Factor to discuss her criticism of her Fox colleague. While allowing that Ablow is a “good guy,” Kelly wouldn’t back down, and even called Ablow’s rhetoric “irresponsible and dangerous,” noting that transpeople are already “persecuted,” and that “there are people that will react to that the next time they see a transgender person at the McDonald’s.”

Perhaps in celebration of tonight’s presidential address made to a joint session of congress, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly opted to host his eponymous show live (insert your own “f*ck it, we’ll do it live” joke here). After a rather blasé opening segment with Lou Dobbs, things got much more interesting when O’Reilly welcomed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney onto the show to discuss President Obama‘s job speech.

In Bill O’Reilly‘s “Talking Points” segment last night, the self-described “traditionalist” openly expressed his dissonant views on the recent actions of super-wealthy free market genius Warren Buffet. On one hand O”Reilly expressed deep respect for Buffett’s investment acumen and fiduciary responsibility to his shareholders (of which he is one); and on the other hand he took great exception to the “Oracle of Omaha’s” call for increased taxes on the super wealthy, and his open support of President Obama.

Christine O’Donnell appeared on The O’Reilly Factor as part of her promotional tour of her new book Troublemaker. Host Bill O’Reilly appeared to provide a much more welcoming interview than the one given by Piers Morgan (that spawned the publicity drawing mid-interview walk-off.) While O’Donnell mostly described how she had been victimized by both the media and her political supporters, she did get the chance to give Karl Rove some stick of her own.

Last week, Laura Ingraham appeared on The Today Show to promote her new book, Of Thee I Zing, which deals in part on the destruction of our culture (a topic that’s been good for books for as long as there’s been culture…and books). While there, she gave a couple of examples she’d seen which included a man watching porn on an airplane (for the hundredth time, Laura, it was a long flight and I’m sorry) and the musicians that Today itself had booked for their summer concert series. A few days later, after R&B singer Chris Brown, perhaps better known for the whole brutally beating up Rihanna thing, performed on the show, Ingraham took he and Today to task which has now led to a heated Twitter fight between she, Brown, the rapper 50 Cent, and their fans.

Early this morning, news broke that the FBI had captured Whitey Bulger, the infamous gangster who’d been on the run for 16 years and inspired Jack Nicholson’s character in The Departed (God, I hope that means he actually liked to throw handfulls of of cocaine at hookers and bring big dildos to movie theaters!). And how did the FBI finally catch him? Well, they used an interesting plan of paying for ads to air in front of women’s shows like The View in the hopes that a lady would recognize Bulger’s girlfriend from a beauty salon. Sounds crazy, right? Well, Rachel Maddow and Bill O’Reilly thought. That’s why they were mocking the plan just days (and in O’Reilly’s case, hours) before it turned out to, y’know, be completely successful.

Watching stern, outraged news anchors duke it out with popular musicians is always funny. For some reason, this is especially true if the musicians are rappers are the anchors are on Fox News. I don’t know what it is, but that combination always results in absolute hilarity. They don’t even need to be fighting (see: Glenn Beck quoting Ice Cube for some reason)! So we’ve got high hopes for tonight’s debate between Bill O’Reilly and rapper Lupe Fiasco. Fox News has released a quick clip previewing all the tremendous stammering and awkwardness this culture clash will assuredly have.

On Monday night Bill O’Reilly invited Daily Show host Jon Stewart on his show to discuss and debate the alleged controversy surrounding last week’s White House performance by Common. As is often the case, at the end of the segment that aired Monday, O’Reilly asked his viewers to vote in a poll at BillOReilly.com and adjudge “Who had the stronger argument regarding Common at the White House?” between the two cable news personalities. The results may surprise you! Update.

Last night Fox News posted the full and unedited version of the most recent interview, between Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart. But unlike the last Stewart appearance on The Factor, in which several of his most pointed critiques directed at Fox News were edited out of the segments that aired, the unedited version of this week’s interview reveals that O’Reilly Factor kept the best and most trenchant commentary of the entire segment that ended up on air. Kudos!

Daily Show host Jon Stewart appeared on Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor tonight to debate the merits of the career of rapper Common with host Bill O’Reilly. Stewart had been invited on the show last week after he had delivered what some had described as a pretty epic takedown of the alleged controversy surrounding the performance by the Chicago-based rapper at the White House last week. Earlier today word surfaced that critical information that led to the attack on Osama bin Laden’s compound came from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Others, including former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, hinted that some interrogation techniques at Gitmo may have contributed to the successful capture of bin Laden. During tonight’s O’Reilly Factor, guest Rep. Peter King (R-NY) claimed to host Bill O’Reilly that the information that led to bin Laden’s death came as a result of waterboarding.

During a segment about a woman who alleges that she was sexually assaulted by a man she met on the dating website Match.com, O’Reilly Factor contributor Lis Wiehl made an unwise wisecrack Tuesday night. Noting that the assault occurred on a second date, she wondered aloud about the alleged victim, “Who goes out with a guy like that twice?”

Saturday Night Live”started off with Jason Sudeikis as Bill O’Reilly, who recapped his own interview with President Obama last Sunday. The interview, O’Reilly reminded us, was the “most watched in history,” though O’Reilly is probably the only person in the world who thinks that was the most exciting thing to happen on Superbowl Sunday.

In the hours that preceded Sunday night’s Super Bowl, President Obama sat down for a live (and lively) interview with Fox News host Bill O’Reilly. Last night’s O’Reilly Factor was fittingly almost entirely dedicated to dissection of the back and forth, or in O’Reilly’s terms, “was the interview pinheaded or patriotic?” The Fox News anchor took on criticism over his asking of Obama if he was “disturbed that some people hate (him.)”

You can set your watch by it ever year. Whenever there’s snow on the ground, as sure there are children hoping for a snow day, there’s someone out there smugly shaking their head and saying, “Guess Al Gore was wrong about that whole Global Warming thing, huh?” This year that person was Bill O’Reilly and, this year, he actually got a response from none other than Gore himself.

Newly-elected Ohio Governor John Kasich (R-OH) has been the subject of considerable outrage over his appointment of an all-white cabinet. the first in Ohio since 1962. Kasich recently responded to Ohio Black Legislative Caucus treasurer state Sen. Nina Turner‘s (D-OH) offer to assist him in building a more diverse cabinet by saying “I don’t need your people.”
