Why wait for a name? The left-leaning media watchdog group Media Matters is looking at Donald Trump and his burgeoning birtherism, but with Glenn Beck‘s Fox News show slated for “transition,” Media Matters is gearing up for a new fight. Against, well, whoever gets that 5 p.m. slot on Fox. “We monitor Beck’s 5 p.m. show on Fox. Whoever is in at 5 p.m., we’re still going to monitor,” executive vp Ari Rabin-Havt, the No. 2 executive at Media Matters, told The Hollywood Reporter. “The likelihood is whoever is on at 5 p.m. is going to be a source of conservative misinformation.”

Variety and THR Change Business Models, Reports Nikki Finke

Oh the irony. Reports surfaced yesterday that two stalwarts of show business Variety and The Hollywood Reporter are changing their business models in a fight for survival. This was exclusively reported by Nikki Finke, the premier showbiz blogger who many see as the prime reason for the trades’ decline in both relevance and viability.
