On Monday, the White House introduced a Countdown Clock, counting the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the time runs out to extend the payroll tax cut. It’s clear that the administration likes the visual impact the clock has as, today, Senior Advisor Valerie Jarett game a Fox News interview with the clock positioned carefully over her shoulder.

Speaking with Fox Business Network ahead of tonight’s speech, Senior Obama Advisor, Valerie Jarrett, told Peter Barnes that the President will “close loopholes” in his much anticipated jobs bill. “We need to make sure that people that are paying their fair share; that those who can most afford to pay a little bit more do,” she said, adding that, “This should not be controversial.”

Top Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press and host David Gregory tried his best to get Jarrett to comment on potential Republican opponent in 2012 Sarah Palin. However, Jarrett stayed on message, which she suggested was the same advice she gives the President: stay focused on helping the American people.

Today in United States v. Maybe it takes another cable news network to press the Obama administration on a point of contention in this feud with Fox News that hasn’t been asked very often.

Last night CNN’s Campbell Brown pressed White House adviser Valerie Jarrett on whether she thinks Fox News is biased (of course), but also whether she thinks MSNBC is as well.

Sometimes it seems like Glenn Beck closes his eyes throws a dart at the White House staff list and voila! He has his next target. Or maybe he’s just looked at his ratings and decided he’s got the clout to play in the big leagues.
