Bristol Palin Agrees Keith Olbermann is a ‘Dick,’ But is Willing to Go on His Show
The back-and-forth between Bristol Palin and Countdown host Keith Olbermann continued Friday morning, as Palin hit a local Alaska radio show to discuss her “Worst Person in the World” win. While the eldest Palin daughter was generally a good sport about the whole thing, hosts Bob & Mark laid it on pretty thick, and secured agreement from Palin that Olbermann is, indeed, a “dick.”
Bristol also displayed a willingness, even an eagerness, to appear on Countdown and let Olbermann take his best shots at her.
Keith Olbermann To Jon Stewart On Fox News: “I Told You So”
The latest person to take Fox News honcho Roger Ailes to task for his (to put it mildly) questionable comments on NPR (and less-incendiary remarks on Jon Stewart) is, unsurprisingly, Keith Olbermann. Olbermann dissected Ailes’ remarks on tonight’s (Not Really) World’s Worst, gave Ailes “(Not Really) Worser” status…and boasted ever so slightly to Stewart in the process.
Keith Olbermann Resurrects Worst Person, Gives Up On Attempt To Change Tone
After Jon Stewart‘s critique of partisan media tearing the country apart, Keith Olbermann temporarily suspended his Worst Person in the World segment only to just today warn us that it was coming back. And it should not be too surprising, Olbermann needed something to cheer himself up after a bad couple of weeks between his suspension, attack from Ted Koppel, and the Democratic party in disarray. Well this version of The (Not Really) Worst Person In The World was Not Really different than any other past time.
Cornell Professor Unleashes His “Bad Side” On Bored Students
Keith Olbermann move over, a Professor from Cornell University just found the Worst Person in the World and it’s a student who . . . yawns. Now before you yawn, this video is not only fun to watch because you get to see a Professor have a meltdown in front of a packed class, but also because you see how painful rejection is for a failed comedian when a joke falls flat.
He’s Back!: Keith Olbermann’s First Post-Vacation Worst Persons
Tonight, Keith Olbermann returned from what must have been the least relaxing vacation ever. During his two weeks off, he had to deal with two of his top producers leaving, getting dissed by Glenn Beck and (retroactively) the members of Journolist, coming into the office to film an entire special comment on Andrew Breitbart, and, of course, sending out tweets about every five seconds. Some might think all of that would take something out of the man but no, he returned in fine form with a text book Worst Persons in the World segment.
Keith Olbermann’s Low Blow At Glenn Beck’s Prior Alcoholism Spoils Worst Persons
Immediately after thoroughly dressing down CNN’s Campbell Brown on last night’s Countdown, Keith Olbermann set his sights on popular Worst Persons fixture Glenn Beck, and he couldn’t have asked for an easier layup. Beck committed his umteen-zillionth violation of Godwin’s Law, this time aiming his Nazi comparison at a particularly poorly-chosen target. Olbermann executes the takedown perfectly, but blows it on the dismount with a petty, snarky reference to Beck’s struggles with alcoholism.
Glenn Beck’s Apology Is Not Good Enough For Keith Olbermann
Glenn Beck made some questionable jokes about Malia Obama yesterday morning– namely, about President Barack Obama saying that she had been asking him if he had plugged “the hole” in the Gulf of Mexico yet, and fairly quickly caught himself and apologized. Most of the headlines were that Glenn Beck apologized for saying something controversial. For Keith Olbermann, the newsworthy point was that, Olbermann claims, Beck repeated his mistakes in the apology.
Sarah Palin Earns Olbermann’s ‘Worst Persons’ Nod For Mocking MSNBC
Keith Olbermann and his writers are at their absolute best when they take on Sarah Palin. Today, Palin got the top spot on Olbermann’s “Worst Persons in the World”– which, by the way, Olbermann really wants you to know is just a joke!– for committing the most heinous crime of making fun of Rachel Maddow‘s ratings and taking a few jabs at the partisanship on MSNBC.
Bill O’Reilly Wins Olbermann’s ‘Worst Person’ Trophy For Coburn Wrist-Slap
Today’s results of Keith Olbermann‘s “Worst Person in the World” competition saw his arch-rival Bill O’Reilly take home the gold, again, for his reprimand of Senator Tom Coburn, where he argued that no one on Fox News ever said that under Obamacare not having insurance could lead to jail time. Except all the evidence Olbermann presented was from last fall, when jail time actually was considered as a potential punishment.
Olbermann Condemns “Teabaggers” To Hell Over Ugly Healthcare Fracas
Sometimes, Worst Person status isn’t enough. In last night’s Countdown, Keith Olbermann not only named Chicago Tea Patriots organizer Catherina Wojtowicz his Worst Person, but condemned her and her followers to hell for mocking a pro-health reform husband and wife who had lost their daughter-in-law and unborn grandchild to untreated double pneumonia.
Soundbite: “Child Abuse In Politics” Is “A Right-Wing Requirement”
“Child abuse in politics? It is a right wing requirement. Lonesome Rhodes: ‘when we do it it’s cool, when you do it, you’re Hitler.’” Keith Olbermann shockingly declares Glenn Beck (a.k.a. ‘Lonesome Rhodes‘) his “Worst Person in the World” and, well, declares right-wing media figures and politicians to be child abusers. Video after the jump:
End Of Detente? Olbermann Makes Murdoch His “Worst Person”
Now that Fox News is going just the slightest bit softer on the White House, there are signs that they’re turning their attention to their favorite whipping boy, MSNBC. But MSNBC’s not taking it lying down: in last night’s Countdown, Keith Olbermann slammed Rupert Murdoch, neatly summing up everything that’s dubious about the Fox newsroom. So much for baseball diplomacy:
