Paramedics Called To Set Of New Resident Evil Movie Are Really Confused By Zombie Makeup

Resident-evil-over-zombies-small1

Here’s a ridiculous story that’s perfect for Halloween.

The Associated Press is reporting that a Toronto emergency medical crew was called to the scene of an accident and quickly faced what appeared to be the worst accident they had ever seen. Presumably there was blood ever, skin hanging from people’s faces, limbs severed or removed. It must have been horrible! However, the paramedics quickly realized that all the gore was fake. They’d been called to the set of the new Resident Evil movie and all the victims were actors playing zombies.

This Exists: UK Man Asks City Council For Details On Emergency Plans In Event Of Zombie Attack

Picture 6

A “concerned citizen” in the UK has gone to his city council to demand answers. Sounds pretty fair so far. What’s he holding elected officials feet to the fire about? The inevitable zombie apocalypse, of course. As the Daily Telegraph reports, “Robert Ainsley…lodged his query on Tuesday, asking: ‘Can you please let us know what provisions you have in place in the event of a zombie invasion?” And if you’ve seen 28 Days Later, you know the UK doesn’t exactly have a spotless record in defending against zombies–just the kind of scare that sent Ainsley to the Leicester City Council with questions:

This Exists: The Center For Disease Control Posts Plan For Zombie Invasion Strategy

CDC Zombie

Well, this may be only the second oddest publicity-garnering move this week but it’s just as successful. The Center for Disease Control has posted an article instructing readers on how they can be prepared for a zombie apocalypse. You know, with the brain eating and the shuffling and stuff. For reals. And, apparently, there are a whole lot of people looking for this information (or just like zombies), because the article has been loading at a snail’s pace all day. I guess we should be glad people are going to be prepared?

This Exists: In Wisconsin, Zombies Come Out In Protest Of Governor Scott Walker

brains_4.4.11 Video

We’ve all been hearing myriad reports over the past few weeks of protesters demonstrating against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker‘s controversial bill, which effectively limits bargaining rights for most of the state’s unions.

We’ve learned what (for the most part) living, breathing humans on either side of the issue have had to say, but the media would be amiss were it not to seek comment from this nation’s growing zombie population.

Chris Matthews Really Likes Calling Michele Bachmann A “Zombie”

I Walked with a Bachmann Video

Political pundits and hosts like to come up with little running insults for the people they don’t like. Not only does it help belittle and dehumanize your political enemy or rival, it also serves as a fun gag for your regular viewers. Some fun examples are Rush Limbaugh always calling Harry Reid “Dingy” or Keith Olbermann always calling Glenn Beck “Lonesome Rhodes.” Well, we can now add another pet name to that illustrious group. Apparently Chris Matthews is unable to discuss Michele Bachmann without referring to her as “a zombie.”

What We’re Thankful For This Year

A List of lists

On this Thanksgiving, Mediaite turns 143 days old. We’ll be checking in today between turkey courses, and throughout the rest of the long weekend, but we also wanted to look back on the 143 days since we were first born on that early July morning.

And what better way to look at our history than to break down some of the things we’re thankful for.

HAPPY HALLOWE’EN! Please Enjoy This Blood-Spattered Post

Here at Mediaite we have had a disproportionate number of horror-filled posts, about monsters and vampires and zombies and Glenn Beck. And no, this isn’t just an excuse to post a picture of Megan Fox, how dare you imply such a thing!
