I watched this replay in stunned silence this morning as I did 8 years ago and praise those who choose to air it. The emotion we all felt, the confusion and heartache on that day made it difficult to focus on anything but those burning towers. To experience this again without the overwhelming emotion made this so powerful. I applaud Matt, Katie and Tom for remaining calm and cautious in their coverage that day. They all had to be feeling the same way were and were able to maintain composure and showed true professionalism. Thank you MSNBC for offering this replay of the actual footage today. We should all view each year so we never become complacent and never forget…

Watching the coverage of the 9/ll attacks again today made it even more tragic that Ground Zero is still just a hole in the ground eight years later. Beck got blasted here on Mediaite in a typical MacNicol blog totally void of all substance and style, as usual, but he was right about the WTC being rebuilt as it was. It would be the best way to honor the victims and the spirit of the American people. Take the decision out of the hands of the government and let the American people decide.

I was glued to Today and NBC all day that day. I watched the second tower hit, right along with them. All day. I couldn’t look away. I couldn’t go through that again.

I remember this like it was yesterday.
