Rep. Allen West Likens Barack Obama To A Dictator And ‘Low-Level Socialist Agitator’

video

Earlier this week Rep. Allen West (R-FL) got some attention for comparing President Obama to a “third world dictator” because of his alleged arrogance over the budget deficit. During an appearance last night with a skeptical Greta Van Susteren, West doubled-down on his criticism calling the president a low-level socialist agitator. Hmmm.

West turned down chance to walk-back his previous critique, choosing instead to charging ahead, telling Greta “I am sick and tired of this class warfare, this Marxist, demagogic rhetoric that is coming from the President of the United States of America.” West continued “It is not helpful for this country and it’s not going to move the ball forward as far as rectifying the economic situation in our country.”

So what Colby did West say that was wrong? You have a President that is campaigning because he didn’t pass anything that was worth keeping. If you have to campaign more than a year out, that’s pretty sad politically.

Allen West should be in JAIL.

“The commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division on Friday accepted a U.S. military investigator’s recommendation and ordered administrative action against Lt. Col. Allen West, who was accused of using improper methods to force information out of an Iraqi detainee.

Following a military hearing, West was fined $5,000 over two months, according to West’s civillian attorney, Neal Puckett.

The punishment does not affect West’s eligibility for retirement and pension, Puckett said in a statement.

West, 42, will be assigned to the rear detachment of the 4th Infantry Division awaiting the processing of his retirement request, the statement said….

….Maj. Gen. Raymond Odierno, the 4th Infantry’s top general in Tikrit, could have rejected the recommendation and ordered a court martial. If he were to be found guilty at a court martial of the two articles against him, West could have faced 11 years in prison, a military prosecutor told CNN.

The case stems from an incident August 20 at a military base in Taji, just north of Baghdad, when West was interrogating an Iraqi policeman, who was believed to have information about a plot to assassinate West with an ambush on a U.S. convoy.

In testimony at an Article 32 hearing — the military’s version of a grand jury or preliminary hearing — West said the policeman, Yahya Jhrodi Hamoody, was not cooperating with interrogators, so he watched four of his soldiers from the 220th Field Artillery Battalion beat the detainee on the head and body.

West said he also threatened to kill Hamoody. Military prosecutors say West followed up on that threat by taking the suspect outside, put him on the ground near a weapons clearing barrel and fired his 9 mm pistol into the barrel….

…But while West’s supporters call him a hero, military prosecutors said his actions amounted to torture and violated articles 128 and 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Prosecutor Capt. Magdalena Pezytulska said West should be tried for assault and for communicating a threat. “This is a case about a man who lost his temper,” she argued. “There are consequences for [West's] actions.”

When West testified that he had “no malice toward Hamoody” and that he “just wanted information,” Pezytulska presented a document of West’s typed statement following the August incident. She asked him to read his own written words to the court: “In my anger, I couldn’t remember how many shots were fired.”

Hmmm…Greta asks about Jeremiah Wright sermons, but not about West being fined and forced to retire from the military for TORTURE? Are you kidding me?

  • TillieGlockenspiel

I think West’s trying to be nice by not calling him low “class.”

West/Ryan MIIGHT have a chance of undoing the damage Obama/Pelosi have done to this country, but it is going to be a long and painful slog to undo the damage. Carter’s looking like a great president in comparison to Obama.

We are all going to have a great time paying for $6-$7 a gallon gasoline- just like Obama predicted before he was elected. Glad he doesn’t have to pay for gas.

Isn’t it nice to see “Uncle” Allen West getting some TV time? Who would have thought with his Higher-than-the-president security clearance that he would have time to do TV interviews? I mean with reading all those classified documents that the president can’t read, making policy decisions and such. I wonder when they are erecting a statue in DC in honor of his military accomplishments…..oh wait I forgot they gave him a Court Marshall and told him not to let the door hit him on the way out.

This man is not only an embarrassment to military men and women, to african americans, but to most human beings.

During a hearing held as part of an Article 32 investigation in November 2003, West stated, “I know the method I used was not right, but I wanted to take care of my soldiers.”[citation needed] The charges were ultimately referred to an Article 15 proceeding rather than court-martial, at which West was fined $5,000.[11] LTC West accepted the judgment and retired with full benefits in the summer of 2004. ”

In order to avoid disruption in the insurance market, the healthcare overhaul gives HHS the power to grant waivers to firms that cannot meet new annual coverage limits in 2011. The waivers have typically been granted to so-called “mini-med” plans that offer limited annual coverage — as low as $2,000 — that would fall short of meeting the new annual coverage floor of $750,000 in 2011.

Insurance is not a commodity, it is an indemnity, or a promise to incur the losses of another from the occurrence of an UNCERTAIN event.

If you are CERTAIN that you will incur a loss, then it is not INSURANCE, it is a PLAN, which is a commodity. Insurance is much cheaper than a plan because the Insurer does a good job of assessing the RISK. There is no RISK in a PLAN, so therefor the PLAN is priced at the foreseen cost plus administration.

Let me guess Cobra, you went to a Government school and got little if no instruction at home or on your own. Pity. Pity that we have to endure the votes of anthropogenic idiots.

The problem with ‘Insurance’ today is that it is a Blend of Insurance (indemnity) and a Plan (commodity). Since Gov’t forces “Insurance’ carriers to provide CERTAIN events to be covered, the Carriers have to price their coverage as if they were Planned Events.

It is high time losers and idiots lose their great influence (voting the wealth/efforts of others into their pockets) over those that have earned their own wealth. Life is not easy nor supposed to be, especially for those who do not know the difference between Insurance and Plans.

I wish, well, not really. No, I’m a Systems Architect and have a habit of looking for the mission(s) of organizations since my job is to help them achieve that mission in the most efficient and effective way.

Insurance is a small fee to cover a disaster, as soon as carriers introduced prevention, it became a plan, which they charge for and charge to administer. Not saying that is unwise/wise or unwanted/wanted for/by the customers, just pointing it out.

When Gov’t can come in at any point and force additional CERTAIN events, then the carrier must charge an additional fee to stave off losses that are sure to come around the corner when Gov’t do-gooders start paving the road to hell with good intentions. In the end, the carrier will always win, just like the House does in gambling.

Our Right to Life is not a RIGHT to indemnity nor central planning including health. In fact, our rights give us security from central planning (aka Socialism).

Instead of making any attempt to overcome racial divides in the country, he has proved himself to be no better than the race pimps, Sharpton and Jackson.

Obama has no principles upon which to stand, except pitting poor against “rich,” black against white, labor against management, and red state against blue state. He’s a sociopath and a narcissist.

:) Can you please provide a reference. We have 30 to 40 million (more than that) people too inept to plan their own lives because they have been ‘educated’ to believe that it is better to have people who they have never met manage their lives from hundreds if not thousands of miles away.

Sorry, but your and other’s stupidity is no free ticket into my wallet. I actually find the domestication of the Human Species offensive. Domestication being the Anthropogenic manipulation of a species to the point that the domesticated cannot survive without the care and security of the Provider (aka Master).

‘Private Health Insurance’ does not refuse Insurance, they refuse Plans. If it is CERTAIN that you will incur a several hundred thousand dollar cost, then the insurer must raise the rates of all of it’s customers. It is not INSURANCE if it is a CERTAIN event.

Were you simply given to Government to raise and educate as well. Rhetorical, your reply shows you still have no clue what insurance is even after having just read it. Sorry, but it would be best for our species if those like you were simply left to fend for yourself.

It is ironic that those who most passionately follow Darwin are in the process of proving him right by devolving. When a population of a species becomes so dependent upon another that they cannot survive without them, then they die off in great numbers when the Supporting population’s provisions become too scarce to share, or when those that support just quit giving a damn about the moochers that grow in number with each generation.

Not all invalids are created the same. I have a couple in my family, but WE take care of and emotionally nourish them as the gov’t would simply get paid to do a crappy job. And I am not suggesting that invalids without family support should go without, but too much of a helping hand has created the MILLIONS of Domesticated as you recognize.

To the simpleminded it may appear to be the same. Military protection is a cost that BENEFITS ALL relatively evenly, as ALL of the responsibilities in Article 1 Section 8 do. It is absolutely amazing that the level of Human Intelligence has decreased so much, but I suppose that is a result of having generations of people who have their thinking and planning done for them.

That said: I recognize the US’s current conflicts to be benefiting others at the expense of us, those who actually pay the bulk of the taxes. And I agree with Darwin.

    Cobra said:
    1) Can an uninsured person be legally denied care at a hospital emergency room?

This is ultimately a philosophical question since common law is so malleable. Under Natural Law, yes they can since emergency care is a commodity and the injured did not hedge the costs associated with emergency care via some form of catastrophic health insurance. However, the Hippocratic Oath throws in a wrench. Doctors swear to “… apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures that are required …”, but that does not mean giving Kidney, even though they have 2, or forcing another to since they have 2. Emergency care means doing the best with resources directly available to ‘save’ a life, not prolonging it indefinitely.

I advocate emergency care being funded for locally, at the county level. If the costs of emergencies becomes too burdensome to the ‘locals’ then they decide how to deal with it. Perhaps more safety regulations, perhaps higher taxes, perhaps less available resources.

    Cobra said:
    2) Are you aware that the uninsured are billed at upwards of 200% more than insured patients for the same care?

I’m sure this varies from area to area, but I’ll accept it as a point of argument. These kind of issues can be best solved locally. If you place your community’s problems in the hands of those who do not suffer from their decisions, then one should expect more haphazard solutions. The reason that they are billed more is that the hospital is required to treat. The demand for the service goes up, while the supply for those that pay go down, hence the price goes up. Again, the solution must be local and applicable to those that create it.

    Cobra said:
    3) Who ultimately pays for the uninsured?

The tax payers and we pay more because of the supply and demand as described above.

The ultimate solution is not Health Insurance, it is an educated and Independent Culture that is able to plan their own lives. The key is to keep the invalid at a very small percentage and all Social Programs funded by and benefited from Locally. This way your elected County Officials (managers/planners) can accurately assess where any burdens are and alert the community so a resolution can be decided upon.

    Cobra said:

:) Awesome. Your ability to read is evident, but comprehension lacks. The Insurance Industry is in league with Big Government. They are ‘forced’ to provide a commodity dressed up like an Indemnity, so they have to raise the rates, and adjust services to stay in business. Competition and innovation is no longer a factor, just being able to ‘influence’ the rules is. Now with ObamaCare, they will be forced to ‘insure’ (in reality Centrally Plan) everyone’s health which will drive them out of business. But not really, what they will end up doing is ‘managing’ the gov’t plans, for a fee of course. Just like Medicare and all other gov’t programs it will be easy to rape the hell out of the the tax payers.

I do not attack you personally, I abhor all like you. My patience for y’alls’ ignorance and rent seeking has been exhausted. I have little room but to consider your ilk to be a blight on mankind. Whether you seek to take my efforts for yourself, or for the pity of others, I no longer care. Socialism, and the Domesticated Humans it produces, is a burden on Independence.

NO…sir. It is FEDERAL LAW, signed by RONALD W. REAGAN, of all people.

“The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA)[1] is a U.S. Act of Congress passed in 1986 as part of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). It requires hospitals and ambulance services to provide care to anyone needing emergency healthcare treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. As a result of the act, patients needing emergency treatment can be discharged only under their own informed consent or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment.

EMTALA applies to “participating hospitals”, i.e., those that accept payment from the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under the Medicare program. However, in practical terms, EMTALA applies to virtually all hospitals in the U.S., with the exception of the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Indian Health Service hospitals, and Veterans Affairs hospitals[citation needed]. The combined payments of Medicare and Medicaid, $602 billion in 2004,[2] or roughly 44% of all medical expenditures in the U.S., make not participating in EMTALA impractical for nearly all hospitals. EMTALA’s provisions apply to all patients, and not just to Medicare patients.[3][4]“.

Sure. They can drop you like a hot rock if their bean-counters think you cost too much to keep on policy. It’s called “rescission.” But what did the man you hate more than even me, President Obama’s plan do?

” * No Arbitrary Rescissions of Insurance Coverage. Right now, insurance companies are able to retroactively cancel your policy when you become sick, if you or your employer made an unintentional mistake on your paperwork.
o In Los Angeles, a woman undergoing chemotherapy had her coverage cancelled by an insurer who insisted her cancer existed before she bought coverage. She faced more than $129,000 in medical bills and was forced to stop chemotherapy for several months after her insurance was rescinded.3

Under the regulations, insurers and plans will be prohibited from rescinding coverage – for individuals or groups of people – except in cases involving fraud or an intentional misrepresentation of material facts. Insurers and plans seeking to rescind coverage must provide at least 30 days advance notice to give people time to appeal. There are no exceptions to this policy.”

This is what kills me. We all PAY for this kind of stupidity. There is no time like the present for pushing the ills of ignorance back upon the socialists’ shoulders. Not Euginics, which seeks to improve genetics, a proper Education, which seeks to ween one from the dependence of others. The invalid in this nation are not limited to the genetically, mentally, or physically infirmed, in fact those they are dwarfed by the number of physically and mentally capable save the lack of any kind of understanding of how to survive without constant care and direction from another. Basically, they are voluntary ‘tards with no capacity to escape this condition.

There are millions of you and this is a problem. This is not a genetic problem, it is a lack of culture problem. Culture comes from ‘cultivation’ which is the devotion of time and attention to the improvement of one’s society.

You don’t improve anything, you and your ilk expect others to improve your situation. You are a subculture defined by your lack of ability. A sort of Homo Incapabilis. You know Homo Habilis, though now extinct, was far more advanced that your kind?

    Cobra said:
What–you’re going to tell those pesky cancer cells…”No, no…I’m EDUCATED and INDEPENDENT. Leave me alone.”

I have two relatives that have survived cancer. Guess what, they paid premiums all their lives and were covered because while there was risk that the carriers customers might get cancer, it was not already known.

My point about being independent is that an Adult who is physically, mentally, and financially mature can buy his/her own health insurance and/or plan if they so choose. If you force the able to take care of the invalid, especially those not their own, then you encourage the breeding of invalids and you end up with more than the economic system can withstand and you soon have millions who were once able who find themselves invalids as well through force and coercion.

As for the Federal Law, that is common law and any judge can overturn it or it can be legislated away, or modified, yada yada yada.

It is not some anarchist system I advocate, it is one where Human Beings, Hominids capable of reason and prediction, are able to live under the Rule of Law and not under some arbitrary rule where we are forced to participate in the devolution of a significant portion of our population. You have no clue that you are a kind of sub-species. Not genetically, but mentally. Animals, especially mammals, and particularly apes and hominids are supposed to be able to raise their young to Independence so they can do the same when they are CAPABLE of raising their own. Socialism is a Human intervention, Domestication, that allows adults to mature physically and reproduce without ever having to be able to survive without the aid of another.

Think of why Rangers put up “Do Not Feed the Animals” signs. It is because the animals, especially predators, come to EXPECT a handout, and when that handout is not given, then the predators becomes violent and attacks the expected benefactor. Humans are the Ultimate Predator. Don’t Feed the Humans! Unless they are yours or you can reasonably raise them to Adults.

It used to be fascinating that people, human beings, allowed this to happen to them, but it is no longer fascination, it is simply a burden. I don’t expect you to get this, you don’t display much reason.

Socialism is an idea that supports labor and limit class or caste systems.

Socialism certainly limits the Classes, or Castes if you prefer, to 3 and that ends up being 2ish. You get the Ruling (Rich/Politicians), the MIddle (the Workers), and the Poor (Plebeian). The Rich create a system to keep a significant number of Plebeians dependent upon the wealth they procure from the Middle Class. The Middle Class is then coerced through fear or pity to keep supplying the ‘welfare’ flowing. Fear of mobs, pity for the poor. The Rulers pay themselves quite handsomely for Central Planning this system and everyone’s lives. Tough work you know.

I say 2ish because at some point the difference between the Workers and Plebeians only is evident in that only some of the Slaves actually labor, the rest whine and bitch for their check.

ROTFLMBAO! If you own Health Insurance at all, you most likely have it as a result of a benefits package from your employer, (most Americans), Medicare (most American seniors) or Medicaid, (most of the impoverished or disabled). If you’re not in any of those categories, you’re on your own, shopping for insurance on the open private market, or doing without. Since most people NOT in the Top 2% can afford an out of pocket expense of the average overnight emergency room stay, surgery, specialized procedure, that means the vast majority of Americans are one step from disaster.
    Hence:
“Bankruptcies due to medical bills increased by nearly 50 percent in a six-year period, from 46 percent in 2001 to 62 percent in 2007, and most of those who filed for bankruptcy were middle-class, well-educated homeowners, according to a report that will be published in the August issue of The American Journal of Medicine.”

While women officers and enlisted personnel serve with distinction in the U.S. Armed Forces, women have never been subject to Selective Service registration or a military draft in America. It was not long ago that bankruptcy was not an option, only death was. Now enter Medicare and Medicaid which forces doctors and hospitals who take these ‘plans’ into a world of ever changing rules, services, fees, regulations, paperwork, and just a hell in general. They are defined benefit plans that have been defined quite poorly, as most are. A defined contribution plan would make much more sense, but you’re unlikely to understand how that would and could work.

Not saying that it wasn’t trying at times, but the burden that the Domesticated put on both the Insurers and Hospitals became very evident. The Insurers and sometimes hospitals are so used to dealing with f’ing morons they end up treating everyone the same, just like gov’t governs everyone according to the lowest common denominator.

As is their right. You cannot force me to sell you a service that I do not want to sell you. However, I want to sell my service to as many people as possible. The only reason I won’t see you ‘insurance’ is if I know a loss is CERTAIN. Are you truly that dense that you can’t understand that insurance covers an UNCERTAIN event that has not already happened? Without having millions of freeloaders, high risk pools for ‘certain’ (known) losses would be manageable through charitable foundations, but never through forced altruism mandated through gov’t.

    Cobra said:

I somewhat agree with Rand, but find Jefferson’s (actually Adam Smith’s) Pursuit of Happiness to be a better application of Morality. That is that Humans find Happiness in both Self Interest and Altruism and a healthy dose of both is necessary for a prosperous culture. Free Will is the key to both, if Self Interest or Altruism are forced or coerced, it is not Self Interest or Altruism, it is servitude to someone else’s interest.

As for the Services that you mention, I PAY for the benefit of each of those. They are not free. However, I am forced to pay for Services and Commodities for the millions of ‘less fortunate’ for which I derive no benefit from. That is involuntary servitude. Read the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Notes of the Constitutional Convention if you wish to describe America.

Your vision for Socialist America will be gone within 10 years. Those of us who have put up with you moochers in order to avoid your whining are now wishing we had not and are no longer pulling out our wallet to shut you losers up. Do yourself a favor and sit down for an hour and watch Sean Hannity’s special on Media Bias. I doubt it will be mentioned here in an article, but it’s worth seeing the history, from Walter Durante covering up for the mass murders in Russia through the Duke Lacrosse Hoax, Dan Rather’s firing, the Valerie Plame Hoax, and Juan Williams’ railroading by NPR.

The internet changed the monopoly. No wonder the Left keeps wanting to regulate it like the Chinese and dictatorships in the Middle East are doing. Control the flow of information and you can control the proletariat.

Without having millions of freeloaders, high risk pools for ‘certain’ (known) losses would be manageable through charitable foundations, but never through forced altruism mandated through gov’t.

The best customer a for- profit health insurer can have is one who never makes a claim and dies suddenly after paying into the system for decades. The next mess because of Obama is food, led by corn. With the purposeful devaluing of the dollar by Obama and Bernanke, our corn is chep. So China is going to buy it. Good for farmers, but it will drive up prices here. We also have the government-forced demand from ethanol – which will further drive up prices.

As corn is used in feeds, etc, other food products will get more expensive.

It has taken some time for Obama’s and Bernanke’s terrible efforts to bleed into the rest of the word, but it is now happening.

And when he talks about “hope”, what he means is that we are all to hope that things don’t get too bad (on our journey to the liberal Utopia where everything is “equal” – and miserable.)

The speculators and the civil unrest in the middle east are causing the price per barrel of oil to go up. Speculators started it and then the uprisings made it worse. The Suez Canal hasn’t been open for ships, causing oil to not move through as it should be and the fears of more unrest helps keep the price artificially higher. It’s not like the president sets the price on barrels of oil or controls the rest of the world either.

If lack of domestic drilling was the big cause of price increase, then why didn’t the cost skyrocket during the BP Gulf drilling disaster and rig shut downs last summer? Why Not? Because there wasn’t that high a percentage of oil coming from the Gulf, so speculators didn’t bet on a short of supply.

Allen West knows all. He has a higher security clearance than the president . . . or so he claims . . . even though that’s not possible.

Does he consider asking the wealthy to pay their fair share to be “class warfare” and “Marxist, demagogic rhetoric?” If so, he must think giving unneeded and undeserved tax giveaways to them and sticking the rest of us with the tab is Democracy at its Finest. Sheesh.

I attended a town hall meeting with my representative the other night. A young woman mentioned her father, who owns a pizza shop. To paraphrase: her father doesn’t use his profits to hire people just for the hell of it – he only hires people if he NEEDS them. If customers aren’t buying more pizzas he doesn’t need to MAKE more pizzas . . . so why would he hire anyone?

The rich are no different. Wealthy people don’t use their extra $$$ to create more jobs if there isn’t greater demand for their products. Reagan’s “supply side” economics ignored the time-tested fact that “demand leads supply.” You can supply all the pizzas you want, but that doesn’t mean customers will demand them.

People are finally beginning to see through the neocons’ smoke-screen. The Bush era tax cuts for the wealthy produced little or no job creation – not here, anyway. He and the Republicans poured potential tax money into the pockets of their donors and fat-cat pals instead, under the illusion of “job creation” and knowing full well it was a bunch of crap. Relatively few non-government jobs have been created since Bush squandered the modest Clinton surplus on giveaways to his friends and waged two illegal wars on credit.

“Alien” West will say anything that will advance his agenda and keep him in the news, as demonstrated here. And YOU thought Joe McCarthy was dead!

If lack of domestic drilling was the big cause of price increase, then why didn’t the cost skyrocket during the BP Gulf drilling disaster and rig shut downs last summer? Why Not? Where did you get that I said it was the big cause. I said the wars and speculation aren’t the whole story. As to bringing up BP not having a significant effect on the price of oil what do you think would have happened to the price of oil if we had 1000s of oil wells pumping oil and they all had to be shut down at once. Or what do you think would be the effect of the current crisis if we had 1000s of oil wells already in place? Then the crisis in the middle east would be less of an issue wouldn’t it.

    Here’s one:

“Responding to solicitations from Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), businesses have asked Congress to roll back or preempt more than 150 rules governing their industries, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post….
…The Post reviewed more than 200 letters and reports that businesses sent to Issa targeting regulations across the federal government. The rules under scrutiny include familiar issues such as greenhouse gas emissions, health-care reform and the landmark Wall Street overhaul. But the committee also will examine more obscure regulations. For instance, makers of some cleaning products that remove mold and mildew have asked the committee to reconsider rules that require their products to be registered as pesticides under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act….
…Many of the business groups zeroed in on existing and anticipated rules by the EPA. The long list of targeted environmental regulations include those limiting emissions from industrial boilers, pollution in the Chesapeake Bay and chemical discharges from Appalachian mountaintop coal mining…”

    Need more? Let’s go flying!

“the Republican House of Representatives passed an amendment sponsored by Rep. Bill Shuster (R-PA) to a Republican-drafted aviation bill that would essentially gut the planned pilot fatigue rules by requiring extensive tailoring to many different segments of the aviation industry, and exempting several others.

Hero pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger blasted the amendment yesterday before it passed, saying “it creates a huge obstacle to new regulations,” and that, “at some point in the future, we don’t know when, it’s likely people will die unnecessarily.” Last night on the Ed Show, Sullenberger said the bill is a “slap in the face” to the Flight 3407 families. He also decried “special interests only interested in the bottom line.”

“In an effort to cut $58 billion from the federal budget for the second half of Fiscal Year 2011, House Republicans released a budget proposal late last week, one provision of which would mean steep cuts for food safety programs at both the FDA and USDA. Critics argue the reductions could cause a major hold-up on recently enacted food safety laws.”

“The House voted mostly along party lines over the weekend to slash spending by an estimated $600 million for border security and immigration enforcement for the remainder of this fiscal year.

The budget allocates $350 million less for border security fencing, infrastructure and technology than Congress approved last year, and $124 million below what the Department of Homeland Security requested.

The bill also cuts an estimated $159 million over last year for Customs and Border Protection modernization and construction programs, and is $40 million less than the agency sought to get the job done. ”

Yes there are about 4000 in the gulf but then I was just throwing out a larger number than one oil well like you mentioned. We have over 200,000 wells in the US. But the fact is that BP affecting the market in your example didn’t relate to the topic. My point that if we had the wells going that we could or should have would effect the market. Not only that the premise that the oil we produce would go into the world market is not so simple either. The companies that drill the oil are international and therefore “the WORLD MARKET” but if we give the rights to drill we can always put conditions on the product. This happened in Alaska when Palin took the big oil companies to task and made them quit sitting on the leases and not using them. You are very naive to think we have so little say in the world market if the product comes from our soil or waters.

Not so sure we can celebrate as I think we should not examine the details much or we would be back to disagreeing. We agreed on one solution to the problem as it pertains to the US. Not on the point we were arguing which was the cause. Don’t forget that the Dollar is pegged to the Price of Oil so when our Central Bank (Federal Reserve) Centrally Plans our money to inflate through both printing money and buying worthless ‘assets’ the Price of Oil and Gas MUST increase. The price of gas today has much more to do with inflation than conflict.

Tack on that even though demand has risen over the last 30 years, the capacity for refining oil has been restricted to a much slower growth rate, we end up with more expensive gas.

So, ‘Obama’ restricts our oil supply, the Federal Reserve devalues the Dollar, refinement capacity is kept below our demand, and the price of gas goes up. Of course Obama is not really the cause for all of this, but since he takes credit for all of HIS work and ideas that other people come up with, we may as well blame it all on the low life socialist agitator.

Or should we? Are there dangers to placing the blame and focusing our anger at one person who obviously has no experience nor ability to do all the things he takes credit for? He’s tied to teleprompter for Christ’s sake. While he went to some impressive schools, he has no transcripts. You know shitty players sometimes make the All Star team.

Is there advantage to having people direct their attention to a faux cause? To a faux person?

Our issues come from the Two Party System Oligarchy. We have two Royal Families, the D’s and R’s, who are fighting to Centrally Plan our lives for us.

Since Washington DC has become our Brain, our Command Center, from where we not only take our general, but ever increasingly specific direction, and it is run by two opposing groups, can we expect anything less than chaos coming from a Schizophrenic Gov’t who’s two personalities suffering from narcissism that hate each other?

The solution is Subsidiarity, it is not trying to keep one half of a damaged brain in control of those who are capable of leading themselves.

Nearly half of pregnancies among American women are unintended, and four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion.[1] Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion.[2]

    • Forty percent of pregnancies among white women, 69% among blacks and 54% among Hispanics are unintended.[1] In 2008, 1.21 million abortions were performed, down from 1.31 million in 2000. However, between 2005 and 2008, the long-term decline in abortions stalled. From 1973 through 2008, nearly 50 million legal abortions occurred.[2]

    • Each year, two percent of women aged 15-44 have an abortion;[2] half have had at least one previous abortion.[6] At least half of American women will experience an unintended pregnancy by age 45[4], and, at current rates, about one-third will have had an abortion.[5]
