m, there is no arguing with these fools. They watch a ton of TV, and that's something we can't compete with. I tried not hanging out with my friends, stop getting drinks with my wife, leaving work early, stop going to the movies, stop going out to dinner with colleagues, stopped going to art exhibits, stopped playing basketball at my gym....etc. JUST TO STAY AT HOME AND WATCH MSNBC! And still, dang it, I couldn't help contribute to their lagging ratings. I guess I'll just have to resume my busy life and get back to being an educated, happy, and healthy human.

These guys are right - Keith can't compete. You win the TV wars! We retreat! Republicans watch more TV than Liberals. There, I said it. I'm sorry for ever doubting you guys....

Is it something inherent in conservatism as an ideology that anything anyone does inherently has to be an order from an authority of some sort? Stop speculating about stuff that's totally made up. Just call Alex Jones.

I think Redstate is likely to have it right.

It's more likely that the NYT piece clued MSNBC or GE honchos into Olbermann's bid for attention and they "counseled" him about explicit demands for dirt on Beck.

The whole bit Olbermann wrote about having the respect of his peers, self-respect, a conscience (sure...), sounds like it came from the ego stroking "handling" he got when being asked to back off.

Olbermann has penis envy of Beck as does MSNBC and CNN of Fox. Beck and Fox tell the real story without spin and the major media outlets can't handle it. Keith take a qoute from your buddy VJ, youre an A-hole.

The above link is rubbish. There's no evidence what-so-ever that someone at MSNBC or GE told Olbermann not to do it.
