Donald Trump To Speak At CPAC, Flirts With Idea Of Running For President

Video

As reported by The Caucus, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) has invited Donald Trump to speak at their event and in an apparent attempt to fuel speculation of a potential campaign for the presidency, Trump has accepted. Just last night, Trump told CNN‘s Piers Morgan that he was unsatisfied with the potential crop of GOP nominees for 2012 and would announce whether he was running in June.

The executive vice president of the Trump organization, Michael Cohen tells The Caucus that CPAC is “a tremendous forum to espouse [Trump's] views” and that Trump is seriously considering a campaign for President because “he’s disgusted with how the country is being run.” In addition to telling Piers how he thinks China is our enemy and that he would immediately put a heavy tax on all Chinese products if he was President, Trump is outspoken on many issues.

In the clip below, when Piers asks Trump if Congressman Christopher Lee needed to resign for morality issues when all he did was send someone a picture of himself on craigslist, Trump responded, “well I think he should resign because he’s stupid, can you imagine . . . these are the people that are representing us in negotiations with China and then you wonder why are we losing to China and OPEC?” Might this blunt tone be exactly what will get the conservatives at CPAC excited?

Watch the clip from CNN below with Trump’s response at 2:15:

Are conservatives at all enthusiastic about Trump?

  • skyfet

Trump made similar noise in 2000, but nothing came of it.

Donald Trump, who was left a small fortune from his father, is a Publicity hound that is no more qualified to be President than his favorite MILF, Sarah Palin. Anybody with Money will tell you that the First MILLION is the hardest to earn, AGAIN SOME THING HIS FATHER GAVE HIM. HE NEVER EARN THE HARDEST MILLION TO MAKE THE REST IS PRETTY EASY IF YOU USE COMMON SENSE AN GET GOOD ADVISE!!!! TRUMP IS A punk!!!!!

I don’t know about you guys, but in my personal opinion, I think Trump is exactly what this country needs. He recognizes that we need to look out for OURSELVES first, America’s interests should ALWAYS be #1, and we shouldn’t apologize for being who we are. In addition, he also has an unquestionably high level of business savvy, something our country sorely needs in this 21st century economy where we’re being kicked in the behind.

On the other hand, I also appreciate the fact that he seems to be quite liberal (or at least centrist) on most social issues.

I think a guy like Trump could really advance America further in the 21st century. He would give our country the kick in the pants it needs to FINALLY make some tough decisions and fix our economic woes. Don’t know if he’d really appeal to the “hard core” conservative base, but I think he’d do a fantastic job attracting liberals, independents and some center-right folks as well. Just my 2 cents.

Doesn’t Donald have his own economic woes to worry about? Is he really the person most-suited to get America back on track economically?

Surely all presidents have healthy egos. Again, Donald has his own serious financial troubles, correct? Is he really the right person to get the economy back on track?

  • The Real Royal King

    Indeed. Very serious.

America the Gullible, would vote Alfred E Neuman into office, were he a real entity. Hitler, (without the stache) , would be a shoo-into the oval office. Politics and media, are run by polished flim flammers. To understand the mechanism at play, watch the classic film with George Scott (The Flim Flam Man), and even at its comedic best, it becomes apparent how these parasites work. The only things sacred to them, are dollars and recognition. I suspect the flim flam game was concocted (based on their convoluted jargon), by lawyers, and adopted by political and media rats. Greed to many, may be one of the deadly sins…but in essence, it has become the American legacy. It matters little, who oversees the chicken coop…media and the barkers own your soul.

Barbour, huntsman, bolton, jeb bush, santorum, trump, huckabee, romney, daniels, ron paul…..

Name a bunch of “to be” losers who have less chance of winning the presidency than my pet hamster, “little obozo”.

Thank you for using your REAL name. I used to own property in Oroville. I worked for Assemblyman Bob Naylor and my office was in San Carlos.

Maybe some of the cowards that post here will follow your example and stop hiding behind the phony names.

Trump would have an excellent chance to win.

He is saying exactly what the average American who is sick of hearing from left wing whackos and right wing phoneys. In a time when people want to see major surgery on how the economy is handled he will prove to be the guy they want.

Only question is whether he wants to run.

As for the left they will hammer him big time because they know he will be successful with the center voter who wins you an election. Their biggest problem is that he has the thickest skin of all.

If Trump really wants our economy “back on track,” then he will be 1000 percent better at it than Hussein Soetoro.

Think about it………..either Hussein is an idiot, or he is evil. If he IS an idiot and not evil, he would try to fix the economy by burying us in hopeless debt and increasing government confiscation of wealth and liberty.. If Hussein is NOT an idiot but an evil force, he would bury us in hopeless debt and increase the government confiscation of wealth and liberty.

Trump, or my cat for that matter, could do no worse than Hussein Soetoro and the Democrats have done.

More totally reasoned, thoughtful, and bias-free analysis. Way to go.

For once I have to agree with you. When W and Big Dick got into that Chrysler Cordoba and drove the American economy straight off the cliff, it was wondrous to behold.

Demonstrably, we were heading into a Depression with a complete banking collapse. W finally tacitly admitted his economic policies had failed, and we out the first round of bail-outs and stimuli. President Obama followed up on this general pump-priming notion, and the economy slowly got back on track.

And he’s on the air every day from noon – 3pm ET.

Oh comon…that was too easy. I’d be a fool to walk away from that one.

And you typical one-liner “drive-by” response. Now, do your thing and run away.

Yep. Bush’s 4 % unemployment rate coupled with a maximum deficit of $4.3 billion sure was an eye-popper. But I like the way you characterize Hussein’s 10% unemployment and a deficit last year of $1.5 TRILLION as “back on track.”

And they say repetition in advertising doesn’t work……………..

I’m going to enjoy the responsive froth-mouthed responsed of Obama worshippers to Trump. Even if he doesn’t run the responses should be truly awesome!

I’m sure Donald Trump would be a fun president, very direct, politically incorrect, inspiring, fascinating, pro-American, pro-Capitalism, pro-Business, pro-Freedom, what’s not to like? Jesus, at this point it’s anyone but Obama.

Used his acumen and brilliance to turn that small fortune into a HUGE fortune.

Not saying that Trump is not the president we need these days, given our economic dilemma, but there are more things to consider than economics. Who knows though, Trump would probably be great at selecting the right people for the jobs necessary to bring this country back from its third world tendancies.

Just what the GOP needs, another power-grubbing, big mouthed, big money, big government FRAUD. No telling how many businesses he’s put into bankruptcy, now he wants to carry on with the destruction Obama’s been wreaking on the USA? Suggestion: Buy the Playboy Mansion and carry on the Heffner tradition, leave the USA alone.
