Ed Schultz Defends Afghanistan Position Against Joe Klein’s “Stupid” Comment

Joe Klein‘s shots against fellow liberals on CNN recently did not go unnoticed, especially by MSNBC host Ed Schultz, who Klein described as “stupid” and “unworthy.” In his “Psycho Talk” segment today, Schultz went after Klein for attacking a position some polls show a majority of Americans agree with, and hinted that Klein has something to gain from the war continuing.

Klein’s “stupid” comment was directly in response to being a guest on The Ed Show, and experience he hinted was a bit grueling: “the guy writes down on a piece of paper ‘get out now’ and holds it up in front of the screen – that’s so stupid and it’s so unworthy and . . . it’s one of the reasons why people hold us in lower regard than they do lawyers,” he complained. While Schultz had “no argument” on Klein’s other comments– namely, that Fox News was “crap”– he did take issue with being called stupid for wanting the war to end and waving papers on his program to prove it.

“Most Americans, interesting [sic] enough, they have enough details about your reporting– they want to get out, too,” Schultz noted, pointing out that a CNN poll showed 63% of Americans wanted to leave Afghanistan. “Does Joe Klein think that 63% of America is stupid?” he asked, later taking a swipe at Klein’s intentions: “it’s easy for a guy like Joe Klein who earns a living covering the war to call me stupid for wanting to get out of Afghanistan.”

Ed’s wrong. What Klein was trying to say was that cable news makes everything too simplistic. The Afghanistan war isn’t as simple as “get out now.” There are many different factors to be considered. Asking where you stand on the war shouldn’t have a “yes/no” answer.

I’m not sure about that…I think Olbermann is the King of Hate. He hates females, rightists, moderates, fellow employees, minorities and anyone who disagrees with him. Schultz might hate a lot, but he doesn’t fantasize about bashing females until they look like a “bag of mashed up lipstick” or taking a female into a closet and killing her.

You said today you have a boatload of rifles in 10 ga., 12 ga., 20 ga….huh? Rifles come in calibers you fat moron. Shotguns come in gauges. However, nobody uses 10 gauge anymore. Hunting Geese is done using 3 or 3 1/2 inch shells Then again as angry and hateful as you are on your little low rated show you probably do own a 10 gauge to shoot mice out of your basement.
