I guess this is like the math behind the “jobs saved or created” by Obama’s stimulus plan. Or the alleged decline in federal receipts (which actually went up by$800 billion) after the Bush tax cuts. Or the horrendous cost of Bush’s TARP program (which has actually generated profits for the taxpayers). Etc. etc. etc.

If you’re a Republican 2+2=4, but if you are a “progressive” 2+2 can equal any number you want.

The graphic of Ed fighting Beck is telling. Anytime someone is inferior and they know it, they try to attach themselves to someone greater by claiming to be their rival and therefore their equal.

Is that right, the demo is from 25-54 and then there is another from 35 – 64? Or was that a typo. (Please note: I’m not attacking you for accuracy or anything. I was honestly just curious. I know Beck gets high numbers. So, I wasn’t questioning your integrity or anything, just curious about it.)

I’m getting kind of sick of the MSNBC going after Beck constantly thing. I mainly get upset when Rachel does it. Seems she shouldn’t be, she comes across as level headed at times, but she just loses me with that. She doesn’t do it nearly as much as Olbermann or Matthews, but still, we watch for their take on the news, not the media reaction to the news. Though, it probably is going to help Ed’s viewership a bit since the boy is coming across as crazy and interesting to watch. (I doubt I will, he’s on too early).

18+ is not a demo, it’s a family reunion. (old media put down) If you have a product that everyone can and does buy, this is your target.
18-34 or sometimes 18-24 is usually a radio demo, the concept is ‘get’ the buyer the first time and you have them for life. (not really, but if it’s a good product you have a good chance to keep them) Consider your own life, 18-24 is probably when you bought your first major purchases like car, house, quality clothing, stereo.
25-54 (sometimes 64) is the key TV/Cable demo. Families make bigger bulk purchases, groceries, cars, investments and so on.
35-64 or 35+ is the key demo for businesses who know who their target is and especially hi priced items, luxury cars, travel retirement villages and so on.
