•At 10 p.m., CNN’s Anderson Cooper won the hour among viewers 25-54, with 223,000–beating HLN’s Joy Behar (200,000), MSNBC’s Friday night Lockup (195,000) and Fox’s On the Record (148,000).

    Fox will always do better.
Most liberals just want the news and be done with it.
    Conservatives require 24/7 cheerleading.

If Fox put on ‘The Paint Drying Show’ it would beat everyone in the demo.

No, not even most libs are any longer believing the lies of NBC, MSNBC, etc.

If Fox put on ‘The Paint Drying Show’ it would beat everyone in the demo. lol. yes “liberals” just want the news. Except news on operation fast and furious, news about unemployment, news about Obama’s “nonwar” in Libya, Obama’s exponential increase of the national debt, news about Obama’s falling approval and growing disapproval of his job as POTUS, The number of American’s killed in Iraq since the war “ended” when combat troops left.Yes “liberals” just want to know the news and be over with it. They are however very picky about what news they want to know. The news they don’t want to know about, in their view, dosen’t exist.

any network that would hire al sharpton shouldn’t garner any viewers

You just have to be very ignorant to continue to follow the fictional storyline of MSLSD and co.

    As
I see it there is a very large population out there who seem to be gratified
and seek out the most salacious, hate mongering, deceptive talk in existence…..thriving on
information that appeals to the very lowest level of the cranium.  Anyone
who depend on and watch the crap emanating from the fox news whackooes are
sorely misinformed. (granted ocassionally they must produce something correct)
No I do not watch much of the MSNBC crowd either. I get my news from the men’s
    room walls at gas stations…..hmmmmm.

  • Anonymous

Nobody wants to hear a liberal speak! That’s why they get crushed on TV and talk radio!! Why you think liberals are always trying to shut down FOX and conservative talk radio! According to the liberals it’s their point of view or no view at all!!

  • Anonymous

“I get my news from the men’s room walls at gas stations”

    I can believe that!!

  • Georgia999

I’m not sure I like this new set-up for the comments.  Seems like one runs into the other with no definition (except for names) of each person’s space. No…I liked the old way.  Wonder what everyone else thinks?  I do like the ‘liked’ and ‘reply’ though.  Much more organized.

  • http://twitter.com/swisstoons Swiss

Goling is a fine host and should probably have his own solo show.   Andrea Tantaros is a great guest on any show.  Gutfeld is perfectly suited to hosting “Red Eye.”  Dana Perino is an asute commentator (but I KNOW already that she was Dubya’s press secretary.   And Beckel is…Beckel.   But this show is hard to watch.

  • http://twitter.com/swisstoons Swiss

Actually, Fox News has been carrying the Murdoch hearings live all day.

I WATCHED THE FIVE ONCE SO FAR AND LIKE IT. THEY TOOK THE JUNIOR VARSITY AND PUT THEM TOGETHER. NOW WITH 166K CHRISSY MATTHEWS HAS TO GO DOWN. HE’S IRRELEVANT TODAY CAUSE HE FORCES THINGS.

  • Ronmarem

I’m a loyal FOX news fan, but I rarely watch ‘The Five’ for over 2 minutes.. At the point where at least 3 people are ‘talking over’ each other and my wife says, “Jesus Christ!” I turn it off and go to another channel… Can anyone on earth be more irritating than Bob Boeckel, with his never ending parade of snide comments…Jr. Bonner, Mocassin Wallow, Florida

  • Jlyman23

The Five is indeed irritating beyond, beyond.  Fox could do so much better with a commentary show that included the Judge N or John Stossel.  The last thing we need is more cross talk chatter and nit picking.  I badly miss the substance that Beck provided and The Five proves there is no substitute for investigative journalism (notwithstanding Glenn’s penchant for the controversial), he and his staff uncovered a lot of ‘stuff’ that The Five will never touch.

  • Deb in GA

I absolutely love “The Five” show on Fox! I DVR it and watch it around my work schedule. I’m also a huge Red Eye fan–which is why I decided to check out the new show. I’m so glad I did! The chaos is part of why I love this new show and why I’ve loved Red Eye for a very long time.  The conversations flow in a natural manner and I the music in-between breaks etc. also adds a nice touch. I hope The Five continues to thrive! I work in the behavioral/mental health care field and I find both Red Eye and The Five to be very therapeutic!

  • Rhwormald

get rid of bob beckel and i will watch the show. iwatched all of glenn beck but bechel is a jerk. send him to msnbc as soon as possible

  • Patti

Because ur attention span is about 30 seconds and then ur eyes glaze over!!!!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_TZVESK54KR3BCPNBQAIZKGL2BE Jim

ON the show today Bob Beckel gave a middle finger gesture on his cup to the tea party sticker that was on it !!

  • Patti

Well..makes sense to me ur hanging out in mens rm at gas stations….Typical Weiner and Wu Liberal Demwit Perferted Behavior!!!! Duh????

I, too can take The Five for about five before I turn it off.  Bob Beckel can survive only on his repetitive rhetoric.  Sure miss Glen.

  • mister_300

I watch just to see Kimberly Guilfoyle’s legs and cleavage. SHE IS HOT !!

  • buster

Bob Bekel has got to GO!! He’s annoying to say the least, and ignorant as well.  He is a clown.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IK5FY2J2OH3ZDDBARXDRG6VK2A William

I agree although in my mind, it is a poor substtute for Glenn Beck.  Guess they have Bob Beckel there for the opposite point of view.  Would be nice if he spoke the true facts.  He recently said that illegals that have served in the military should be given amnesty.  Truth is that illegals cannot serve in the military.  Candidates must be either legal residents or citizens.  Would enjoy the program better without Bob.

  • O. Ray Moose

I TiVo The Five and fast-forward past Beckel’s ad-hominisms and the multispeak. But those who complain about having Beckel on this show fail to grasp the genius of FOX’s programming strategy. We get a 4-1 dilution of the Left’s smear tactics, which makes them marginall palatable, and we also give wide exposure to moderates of the Left’s debating methods, in all their unsavory glory. The contrast between Beckel’s snarls and the sweetness of Andea Tantaros is startling, to say nothing of the differences in th the depth of the commentary between Beckel and the other 4 (Gutfeld: “Paul Ryan developed a serious plan to reform entitlements and reduce the national debt.” Beckel: “Don’t you think he looks like Alfred E. Newman?”

  • Whplumber33

Because they would find a way to make it entertaining!

  • Jamunden

I agree I am already sick of the 5.I can’t watch Beckel one more day.I don’t want to waist the time to put up with the insults and out right lies about people in general.Who ever though this crap is a replacement for Glen Beck, someone is wrong.Juan Williams is the same.

  • Jamunden

Sharpton is a white hater, but when ever he gets goodies from his white friends, that fine.

  • Jamunden

Has anyone watching what is happening to this country. If you want it gone, then what are you going to do.Move to England you fool.Once it is gone, don’t cry.

  • Jamunden

I have always tried to find a liberal that I believed that had half a brain, still looking.Liberals want and want, but if you ask them for something,no no not me I don’t have to give just all free to me.

  • Jamundem

    Beckel needs to go.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_KCUL3SCRV422GBWH5P5P337ABY geo

The 5 sucks. Its like a fox “the view” Lot of chatter. Nothing deeper than a guess or opinion. John Stossel would have been ok. I am used to Glens research and background presentations. I turn away to CNN but it is unbearable. Just let the TV rest for that hour.

  • Buckwheat

    Boot Beckel!!!!

  • Dialed619

I hate cable news’ divisiveness and its terrible shows like maddow cavuto hannity (basically all of MSNBC is garbage, and Fox isn’t far behind with awful shows like Cavuto and Hannity.

They upgraded big time when they axed that fear-monger crazy-person Beck with the 5!!
The 5 has surely a lot of conservative viewpoints but Beckel is a terrific counter to the conversation but unlike other shows featuring either myopic views or shouting matches they keep it light and civil which is how political discussion SHOULD BE most of the time.

the banter/chemistry on the 5 is very entertaining especially Kim Guylfoye, Dana Perino, and Andrea Tantaros……smokin hot and very intelligent.

    Bravo fox!

I’m an avid Fox watcher but I’ll do anything to avoid watching “The Five”!  Who on earth can abide 5 people constantly interrupting one another, yelling in tones that make my ears ache, talking over each other……a watcher can’t hear anything any one of those screamers says.  I keep my channel on Fox all day until 5pm….then I switch to ANYTHING…cannot stand the screamers!!!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_RGLYJU6VIXDQNVGHNUPMWSKW7Q Kathy g

I love this show - I love every personality on this show – they all compliment each other in a way that is enjoyable -  not fake or put-on.   This is the only show where I want to sit and watch the whole show –  not do things and catch bits and pieces.  I have so many of my friends and family now watching and they too enjoy.
Fox u have a  good thing going on  – don’t mess with it!

  • Sue

Will watch the show when Beckel goes.

  • libertyville

I am a “The Five” junkie.  It is edgy high theater and the funniest talk show on the air.  The characters are all funny and I would not lose any of them.  They are a hoot.

  • Anonymous

I have watched The Five since it came on. Today 10/20 it was so annoying.

  • working citizen

I think the prisons should only serve 2 meals every day. That is the norm for a number of people that aren’t in prison.  Prison should not be run like a vacation site.  They should all be doing hard labor. Might keep some from being repeat offenders.

  • working citizen

I think they pay Beckel to play devil’s advocate.  No one is that stupid.

  • working citizen

I do miss Glen Beck. He was very informative. And no one has filled that void.  Did FOX sell out to the advertisers?

Juan will ruin the program; he’s beligerant, unsociable to the others, snarls, sneers, and wont shut up; Bob Beckel is much preferred!!

  • Guyzz1

    Agree 100%
    Beckel is an opinated buffon.
    Can’t stand his biased comments

donb – Personnally I like Bob’s point of view. While at times he is off base he does offer a counterpoint, somthing you will not get on CNN or MSNBC
