Hannity Asks: Does Obama Use Tougher Language On The GOP Than Terrorists?
Political frustration on either side of the aisle seems to be reaching fever pitch the closer we get to the end of the year, and with the latest tax struggle in Congress bringing out some of the harshest rhetoric yet, Sean Hannity and analyst Frank Luntz are wondering where this language has been for the rest of the year, and while Democrats are reserving it for the GOP.
Hannity and Luntz begin their discussion with Senator Robert Menendez‘s comments earlier this week comparing Republican negotiations to those with terrorists, which Luntz, clearly repulsed, called “so inflammatory” and “deliberately abusive.” Hannity seemed to agree, and added as more evidence of this rhetoric being a trend President Barack Obama‘s use of the word “hostage” in discussing the negotiations between Republicans and Democrats, wondering whether the words would backfire. He further inquired of Luntz whether he could “find rhetoric where he has been that harsh with real terrorists,” noting that President Obama’s diplomatic style internationally usually stood in the way of any particularly abrasive language towards enemies of the country. Luntz couldn’t quite find a sufficient answer to that inquiry.
