Sen. McCain Wonders If Trump Debate Would Be A Good Use Of Candidates’ Time

Appearing on Fox and Friends Tuesday morning, Sen. John McCain questioned whether Donald Trump‘s planned debate on December 27 would be a good use of candidates’ time, and encouraged the GOP contenders to get their rest instead. “It’s their decision, but I believe that on December 27 on an obscure network, I wonder if that is the best use of candidates’ time? I think they should be resting up over Christmas and the next few days and then be ready to go right after the 1st of January.”

“But if you were running for president, would you say yes to it?” host Gretchen Carlson pressed the Republican senator.

“I don’t know,” McCain responded wearily. “I think I would have to be in that position to make that decision. But I guarantee you, there are too many debates and we have lost the focus from what the candidates’ vision for America is — who’s going to make a mistake? Let’s have a gotcha question to see if they’ll stumble and surprise everybody. That’s not what debates are all about and I don’t think that is helping our Republican party or our candidates.”

    Trump is an abomination.

Don’t listen to McCain, GOP candidates!  The Trump Debate is gonna be yuge.  December 27, I wanna tune in to see if Gingrich can sell more hot dogs in Time Square than Romney.

Your mouth was made for hot dogs-

  • Mo Fokker

I for one hope the other candidates agree to participate.  These debates are a good demonstration of have low the Republican party has sunk.

  • Hout Bosques

Yet, there is no Iowa fair evident. Strange.

  • Hout Bosques

I think maybe you underestimate them.

But Obama is debating how to ruin the country even more.

  • Mo Fokker

Watching the freaks at these debates is more entertaining than watching the freaks at the circus.

You are quite the whack job yourself. Stop underestimating yourself.

Says the senator who wanted to drag Obama to an endless series of town hall debates in 08

is it too much to expect consistency from politicians even if they’re wrong?

“Obamabotnow” is just another one of Tom-Gun’s (Stonepark3) fake accounts!!

    Truly pathetic!!

Can someone please inform McCain that people have stopped listening to him years ago!!

Oh good. A rare interview with the elusive John McCain, my friends.

Are there other Senators besides McCain,Schumer, Graham,Durbin, McConnell and Reid?
There must be . Just not on TV.

  • Anonymous

Yes it is going to be “yuge!”

McCain finally says something that makes sense and you pan the guy. Typical from an idiot like yourself, Gloves – the current and still reigning champion “Idiot A-Hole” on Mediaite.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

Not David Gregory. He listens to Gramps constantly.

  • Hugo Daun

“Conservatives” no longer like McCain since he didn’t win the Presidency.

Winning is their primary concern…everything else, including what is best for our country, is of less importance.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

He represents that which is best in the Republican party. So, yes, of course he is an abomination.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

I think all of the Republican should listen carefully to Gramps and heed his advice. His walking aimlessly around the stage during one of the 2008 debates was an excellent technique which proved most effective for him.

I also think the ultimate nominee should seek Gramps’ advice regarding a running mate.

That puts the common “conservative” scum bag idea of a “liberal media” to rest, no? Forget it. I already know what your dumb ass is going to say. Carry on.

  • Anonymous

I freakin’ KNEW that Shit-Gun and Shit-Park3 were the same closeted “conservative”.

  • http://mediamatters.org/ Leedog

    He’s truly a pathetic loser!!

  • Anonymous

You’re making less sense than ever.

  • Anonymous

He’s the grumpy old guy who yells at kids for walking in his yard.  Could you imagine what would have happened if he’d been President?

  • Mo Fokker

I flagged one of his comments yesterday. I figured I would set him on the right path towards another banning.

    Sweet!!

    John McCain…who is this guy?

Sounds like he struck a nerve!

    hahaha

    I’m back baby!

Sounds like you would give a nasty suck.

Donald Trump gives the impression that he is a real Patriot, but my doubts are founded in his past. Seems that he has said and done this all before (mentioning in August of 2011, that he might reenter as a third party candidate). And if my memory doesn’t belie me, Donald Trump was a lifelong, registered, Democrat, even thought he seldom took the “time” to actually “mark” a ballot. No. My suspicion is that Trump is acting as a “Cat’s Paw” for Hillary Clinton. Hillary knows that should she challenge Obama in a Democratic primary, the black vote will be offended, and not support her (they will stay home on election day).  Trump,  by bringing up Obama’s birth certificate flaws, again, and the legality of him being a Natural Born Citizen, might just cause the Democratic planners and George Soros, to go to their “back up” Marxist, Hillary Clinton. And I assure the reader that in a Presidential election between Hillary Clinton and any of the current Republican “pretenders”, Hillary will win by a landslide. So it is my expressed opinion, that to further the possibility for a real Republican contender to “rise” to a position of believability, Donald Trump must be STOPPED from monitoring any Republican debates. Donald Trump is not to be trusted. And the Republican canidates have made fools of themselves already without further being “helped” by this “Trojan” with bad hair.

I find your theories fascinating and insightful, and not at all batshit crazy.

    Please continue…

Conservatives never liked McCain. Most in the conservative news media pushed hard against him in 08, but the more centrist Republicans nominated him anyways. They supported him against Obama because even if he wasn’t “conservative” enough for them, at least he wasn’t a “black liberation theology” following “secret-Muslim” who “wasn’t even born here” and followed a “Kenyan anti-colonial worldview” who also may double as the “anti-Christ” while “deliberately destroying America” by “associating with terrorists” and supporting “socialism.”

Then I struck a nerve! Man, what a child you are.

Lol!! Did you retire Tom_Gun or are you going to keep the account around to add to your “like” total??

Trump is a windbag and full of hot air… all that fuss and
guffaw will drop like his blood pressure after a double-tap shotgun blast to
the head.  Watch him get his and see if
that hair is even real when the guns come out on the Zombie Walk of Fame at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/10/07-countdown-to-halloween-donald-trump.html

Hillary Clinton will not be running for President EVER again.  She is doing a great job as Secretary of State.  She is loved and known around the world.  If you like her, vote for Barack Obama and she will continue being Secretary of State for 4 more years.  Then, she will retire to spoil her grandchildren that she hopes to have.

  • Anonymous

Maybe you should listen to him – he is giving “Teddy Roosevelt’s speech” – yes, the REPUBLICAN Teddy Roosevelt.  Maybe the greedy republicans of today should listen to it.

  • Anonymous

    And you too.

    shut up.
