Jon Stewart: What Candidate Won The ‘Tuches Kiss-Off’ At The GOP Jewish Forum?

Video

Did you know that, in America, Jewish people celebrate a winter holiday that isn’t Christmas? It’s called the Republican Jewish Coalition Forum, Jon Stewart explained, and it helps Jewish Republicans decide who among the extremely Christian GOP candidates loves them the most.

RELATED: Report: Bachmann Taking Support From Romney Because Jewish Donors Think She’s Jewish

Rick Santorum shared that he’d purchased “one of those, you know, tiles” from Israel, Rick Perry visited the Western Wall, and Michele Bachmann – ever the overachiever – embarked on a kibbutz shortly after graduation.

“Michele Bachmann loves Israel so much,” Stewart commented, “she was willing to join a socialist collective.” (Although, SHOFAR OF HISTORY ALERT SIREN, she was a liberal before she ventured away from the dark side.) In fact, she scored a remarkable “Super Star of David” on the Official Daily Show Yarmulkometer. She’s got shiksappeal, that one.

But it was Newt Gingrich who actually stole the show, winning a standing ovation from the crowd as he regaled them with teleprompter jokes. Mitt Romney, however, earned an embarrassing “I Have No Candidate” for messing up a Seinfeld joke.

And Ron Paul? Well Paul, you’ll recall, was not invited to the event because, according to RJC executive director Matt Brooks, it’d be “like inviting Barack Obama.” The group is, in other words, less than delighted with Paul’s ideas where Israel is concerned.

RELATED: Republican Jewish Coalition Not Inviting Ron Paul To Forum Because It’d Be ‘Like Inviting Obama’

“Good call not inviting any presidential candidates to your forum who might disagree with you, ” said Stewart. “Wouldn’t want to turn it into a debate. You know, if there’s one thing Jews can’t stand, it’s arguing.”

Crozine (D) refused to be sworn in while testifying to Congress and took the 5th, admitting guilt.
Holder (D) admitted to lying to Congress, too.

    Liberal media totally ignores it.

    Nixon, anyone?

I know… I figured that much out (Texan I assume?). This is in a broader context of identity devolution that really detracts from the value of the place. Not sure what the remedy might be. I’m kinda attached to this little community and enjoy even my normal rivals… But it has become uber chaotic. This space offers opportunity. We squander that. It’s sad.

And I’ll bet not one of them criticized Israel for its explicitly racist immigration and anti-miscegenation laws. I’m sure Stewart really laid into ‘em for that! Go get em, Jon!

I’m sorry but the mindless fetish for Israel is both unhealthy and counter productive - for both Israel and US. It for one takes out the objectivity from the context, and also depreciates US from being an honest broker between Israel and Palestinians.

Another worrying trend, as John pointed out, is this race to one-up every other candidate in declaring their undying love for Israel – and I’d say to the great detriment of US’s sovereignty. Further, the fact that a country from outside can lobby (and command) the US govt the way Israel does speaks to dysfunction and irrationality in play here – just imagine if China were to do the same! Also, religious sentiments showing up in the foreign policy of one’s country, is never a good sign.

Lastly, I’m not saying Israel is wrong or Palestinians is right, just the whole de-rationalization of US’s policy makes the situation worse that it should be for every stakeholder. Both Israel and Palestinians have the right to exist, but not at the detriment of each other.

Why would a right wing conservative support a nation that is has a socialist economy, very high personal taxes and national health care? Oh thats right religion trumps all of that. Funny how all these right wingers will rip on europe all day and night for being socialist economies with national healthcare but never a word about their dear Israel.

Yep but think about it have you ever heard a conservative criticize Israel for being socialist? Ever? But man they rip into France, Germany, Sweden, Ect. AND we give Israel 3 billion annually(more than any other country) with more on the way its essentially a welfare state of the USA. They use this money for various things one of which is to prop up their socialist economy and national healthcare. Are they even aware that a large percentage of Conservative religious Jews do not work at all? Not at all? That they are basically welfare kings? Now if they defend them for being a democratic state with freedom of speech in a area that has very little  I can respect that. But the state of Israel is a liberal socialist nation do you know that conservatives? Do you even care? Does it bother you?

What an embarassment! Just like the last debate, they were falling over each other to promise more money and federal programs. Don’t these clowns know we are broke? Ah, but that is all the Democrats’ fault. GOP spending doesn’t count!

Ron Paul won this one debate, hands down.

  • Hout Bosques

That was an interesting set of things Corzine (not “Crozine”) did: first, publicly releasing his testimony to the committee in advance of the hearing (a pretty smart way to make sure you’re story gets out, but also to use as a reference point during questioning, where Republican Congress critters tend to interrupt like Bill O’Reilly whenever they think you might be getting out something they don’t want to hear, such as an actual response), and then proceeding NOT to invoke the 5th Amendment (Yes, THAT was the actual news part: that, despite a lot of clear signals that the SEC, FBI & DoJ are all investigating the situation with a view to criminal charges and indictments, Corzine went out of his way to SPECIFICALLY indicate he was going to testify WITHOUT invoking the protection of the 5th.), which is an especially bold combination because releasing a statement AND testifying without invoking the 5th dramatically increases the risks of being pursued by Congress for perjury.

In other words, Corzine could not possibly have rendered himself more vulnerable — and yet, the Republican controlled committee members failed to even TRY to exploit this huge advantage they hardly ever get. Which suggests a few things: 1. That the way in which Republicans use their question power in the House is NOT to pursue whatever happened, but instead to pontificate and get out talking points on video – a tendency which Corzine, having come to know Republicans over several decades, understands very well can work to his advantage; 2. It seems quite possible now, given the way that modern investment banks and houses hypothecate and lever their pledged assets, that in a large enough business making ‘bets’ around the world in quite disparate rules and reporting environments, that NO one person within that business actually understands or even knows their exposure on a moment-to-moment basis.

The current speculation, on blogs where people know what they’re talking about, is that Corzine’s operations ran square into a form of hyper-hypothecation risk that happens when two bond environments (the US one with a central bank, the Fed, within a trading structure with an unenforced set of inadequate liquidity assurance rules, under the SEC, versus the cock-eyed European one where there is a common set of liquidity assurance rules but no single central bank, and in the case of the Eurozone countries, no central money press) collide, under a structure where the operation has committed itself to taking automatic ‘threshold’ buy-sell steps in certain defined situations, where the situation is differently defined here from how it’s defined there. Among other things, the US Fed offices, including in this case the NY Fed, operates an over-night clearing house to stop and capture on a daily basis any instances of inadequate hypothecation, whereas the situation in Europe involves several steps over days and sometimes into weeks before such resolution can happen.

Based on all the above, I think Corzine is going to skate completely free of any criminal liability in this. (Civil liability though may be quite different.)

The contrast with the “Fast and Furious” questioning of Holder was quite a bit different. Holder was attending in a follow-up to prior appearance, so he could not prepare an opening statement in anticipation of where the questioning might go, because he’d already done that on a previous occasion. But again the Republican questioners dropped the ball completely, using their time to pontificate and speechify, not even allowing an opening for Holder to respond. You cannot get to perjury charges if you never allow the witness to even respond – if the person isn’t allowed to say anything, there’s nothing to investigate against.

And of course you’re completely wrong about Holder admitting anything at all of the kind you suggest.

The Republicans are using their control of the gavel in Congressional hearings to ensure that the process isn’t used for anything other than pontification and speechifying. Under this style, no one is ever going to be pursued for lying to Congress, so we’re all being cheated.

I’m actually surprised that someone who was banned is allowed to return under a handle that blatantly reveals their prior identity.

God forbid anyone in this country should need welfare though. It’s not like this country has ever created conditions that would require social safety nets be put in place, right? It’s not like there’s been an ever widening gap between the rich and everyone else in this country. That’s not a problem for the Repubs who line up to kiss the ring of Israel. When people here need help, Repubs want to kick the crap out of them. They should take a bath and get a job, right Newt? That’s our own people. Yet it’s mandatory that we finance Israel, or spend billions on a war to “help” the Iraqis who overwhelmingly didn’t want our help. If the cash payouts weren’t enough, it seems our politicians are required to line up to kiss Israel’s collective butt. Why don’t we undermine our leader by having Congress give another standing ovation to a foreigner criticizing our leader in our country? Let’s do that, and afterwards make another stink about President Obama hating America and being a foreign agent. For all of you that love the stories of “The Founding Fathers” so much, how do you think they would feel about you kowtowing to a foreign nation?

” The group is, in other words, less than delighted with Paul’s ideas where Israel is concerned.”

Of course, because Mr Paul does not seem to stomach Israel’s belligerent attitudes, and was one of the few far-sighted and self-respecting Republicans who voted against the Iraq War Resolution, and sponsored a resolution to repeal the war authorization in 2003.

So, I think it should add to Mr Paul’s credibility that he has not been invited to the RJC Forum.

“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.” — Ron Paul

Only Ron Paul, of all the presidential candidates of both major parties, has repeatedly spoken out clearly and forcefully against the belligerent war propaganda and calculated lies in the bipartisan lead up to war with Iran, against the bipartisan campaign for punitive sanctions against Iran, and against further covert operations to destabilize the fragile geopolitical situation in the Mideast. He is not afraid to speak truth to power.

The principled constitutionalist and noninterventionist Paul was right from the start about our disastrous preemptive imperial wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, right from the start about the destructive ‘blowback’ fomenting more hatred directed towards America, right from the start about the Federal Reserve’s monetary policies creating the housing bubble which led to the 2008 financial meltdown, right from the start about the War on Drugs, the USA Patriot Act and the TSA imposing a fascist police state upon the American people.

Today in America, you cannot talk about the wisdom of cutting the Minimum Wage and NOT be called a racist (or get deeply suspected of being one)

And today in American, you cannot talk about the wisdom of cutting Foreign Aid to Israel and NOT be called antisemitic (or get deeply suspected of being one)

Thus, you have two choices, Brave on AHEAD and discuss the economics of the issue, or retreat from the issue under fear of sticks and stones.

I choose to brave on ahead.

Now for the black and Jewish among us in the R3VOLution, you could help us all out MORE THAN YOU REALIZE by taking up these issues yourself and yes then we will support you. Ostracism from your black or Jewish community is never appealing.  But by You being black or Jewish allows the listener to at least listen to the economics of the discussion rather than sitting there with deep suspicions about your “real” intentions.

The not well hidden fact is that this forum was actually pandering to the Christian Conservatives who changed from hating Jews for killing Christ (not all that long ago) to believing that the Jews must retake Jerusalem and all of the Holy Land in order for Christ to come back. At that point, all Jews will convert to Christianity, the Christian dead will rise again, and Earth will become Heaven.
It is the Christian Mythology that is behind this “sudden” love for Israel.

Wow, this has to be the most worst show of ass kissing i have ever seen. What a bunch of pandering and demagoguing this crap was. Good for Ron not showing up, they can all go and make themselves look even more worse.

I cannot understand this endless support of Israel crap. They have be to baby sat for life? Forever? Yes, we get it, you were persecuted for over 5000 years, yes, the holocaust was horrible, no one is refuting that. But how long ago was that? Pretty much everyone from those times are dead. IT’S OVER. Kinda time to move on, ya think?

Israel is the most prosperous country in that region. Nearly every other country around them is in  recession. The 4billion they get from us every year is like 1% of their GDP…WTF!!?? We are on the verge of collapse and giving them money that OUR people need. Yea, really sensible policy there. So sickening this crap is. These type of Jews are the most selfish of their kind, it is so damn pathetic. They aren’t any more free than any other occupied country, since they have to depend on us for pretty much every decision they make. Not only that, our Federal Reserve Bank, which was the initial cause of our downfall starting at 1913, was started by Zionist Jews, then the IRS, then the Anti Defamation League, then the CFR, etc, etc, etc. Have they not ruined our country enough and wrapped its tentacles into every damn corner of our society and sucking the life and sovereignty out of it?

Netanyahu and many members of Israeil parliament already said they want our troops out of there and have no need for further aid. So please, tell me how Ron Paul was wrong at all.

What you may not know is that many prominent Israelis including Israeli
economists Ran Dagoni, Yoel Bainerman, Alvin Rabushka, the late Rabbi
Meir Kahane, as well as groups including the Jewish Task Force, the
Zionist Freedom Alliance, and the Manhigut Yehudit faction of the Likud
Party have long advocated for an end to U.S. foreign aid to Israel.
These groups insist that Israel must develop her own economic strength
and move towards more free-market economic reforms as a means of
    boosting national prosperity and strength.

Even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that
foreign aid may do more harm than good, and proposed efforts to wean
Israel off of American military aid payments.

The Jewish Task Force, states among its principles a commitment to:

–“An immediate end to all U.S. foreign aid, even to a genuine
friend and ally like Israel, which is harmed rather than helped by her
counterproductive dependency on America’s addictive welfare handouts.”

Hoover Institution Fellow Alvin Rabushka says that aid to Israel hurts Israelis:

–“Free money is the scourge of Israel’s economy. It is the
difference between a free, prosperous Israel and a statist, dependent
Israel. Before U.S. aid began flowing, Israel’s economic performance
rivaled that of the high-growth Asian Tigers. Since then, Israel’s
growth rate has fallen by more than half.”

Here are two sites you can all educate yourself with. A good breakdown of the corrupt piece of garbage, Gingrich, and the man who should have been our president 4 years ago, Ron Paul.

The choice is yours, hopefully youll wake the heck up and do the right thing:

Jon Stewart is the man. He tells it like it is. I can’t believe how many people are trying to derail Ron Paul’s chances. Funny thing is despite the media black outs he is getting his message out and American’s are waking up to it. Ron Paul in 2012!!!

As long as a large number of Americans believe that Israel is the ‘chosen nation’ of God, and that the formation of the modern state of Israel is the fulfillment of endtimes premillennial Biblical prophecy, this ‘Israel can do no wrong’ narrative will be ever present in American politics.

Both the Republicans and Democrats (case in point: Obama) are guilty of this. Denounce or rebuke this blind support of Israel, and it will spell your career suicide in American politics. AIPAC and the mainstream media will sideline/ignore/demonize you.

Israel has undermined our democracy with our own money.  We give them foreign aid and they give it to AIPAC.  The Jews control our media, control our banking industry and with the appointment of Kagan will surely rewrite the protections guaranteed in our Constitution.  Even when people hear the truth, the years of brainwashing make it very difficult for them to accept the truth.  Israel spies on the US more than any other nation.  Why do we put up with it?  More evidence of the strangle hold Israel has on America.  Every phone call made in America passes through a data exchange owned by Israel.  Israel’s control over the candidate selection process is almost iron clad.  I have heard Congressmen speak of it.  Either you support Israel or the Zionists will do whatever it takes to unseat you.  Our politicians piss their pants at the thought of bucking Israel on foreign policy.  Jon Stewart has a lot of guts.

What does it say for the Jewish Coalition when they exclude the one honest candidate, yet cheer wildly for the guy who couldn’t even be honest with his first wife…or his second wife?
