Actually, for the record --
1) Dick Wolf said the finale of Mad Men drew an audience of 1.6 million people (as opposed to costing $1.6 million).
2) When Balcer talked about people getting up from their computers to watch the show, he was making the point that in order to reach people more people (especially younger viewers who spend all their time online on their computers), the show should be streamed online so these viewers don't have to get up from their computers to go watch the show on a TV.

Is it wrong to want Timzank's point to be taken much further? I sort of want NBC to see if they can get Heroes to push health care reform. It would be fun to see the need for health care legislation presented on a show where dying doesn't even kill you.

I was an avid fan for 19 of those twenty tears...I still watch now and then but it's become such a lefty platform of late I can't bear it. Like Waterstons character 2 weeks ago chastising the insurance exec. "that's why we haven't been able to pass real health care reform in this country"...please...shut up and entertain me, leave the Obama cheering out. Now that NBC is virtually owned by the Obama administration it's not even subliminal, it's frickin' arrogant...Seen the Old Adventures Of New Christine lately? Same sh%t. Wanda (Obama) Sykes educating Christine on health care reform...

Besides M*A*S*H this is the one show I don't mind seeing repeats of. The new cast is great but I still miss Jerry Orbach. 20 years is a long time to be popular, but heck it never gets old, could there be a L&O type Dorian Grey portrait in someone's closet.
