MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Thursday brought in managing editor of Time Nancy Gibbs to discuss the magazine’s latest cover article about a new trend in older men fighting their age. Advertising executive Donny Deutsch, a regular on the show, quickly became the butt of it.
“You see these dudes that are, like, 65-years-old or 70 and they’ve got the bodies of 18-year-olds,” co-host Joe Scarborough said. “It’s weird and it’s dangerous.”
Nicolle Wallace, another show regular, jumped in. “I keep thinking of Donny Deutsch,” she said, giggling hysterically. “You’re describing these guys with these bodies that don’t match their age and I just got this image of Donny I couldn’t get out of my head.” Wallace went on to call Deutsch “a specimen.”
Scarborough pulled up on his phone an Instagram photo of Deutsch, shirtless, holding a bull dog.
“I don’t want to see that,” said co-host Mika Brzezinski.
At the end of the segment, Scarborough pulled up another photo of Deutsch, again, shirtless, holding a bull dog and apparently flexing his bicep.
