Even if he believes 100 percent what he says (unlikely), he’d still just be deluding himself into thinking he speaks for Christians. There is no revolt as he purports and the president is not pushing the “Occupy Wall Street” because he can’t! ”Occupy Wall Street” adopting the idea of debt repudiation is not just a “Conservative” ideal but a world wide ideal, just like ”Love of Country” not Exclusive to Republicans or TEA party-ers! This boils down to jobs and the current 112th Congress has done nothing to generate jobs! These “freshmen” congress people were elected when they ran on legislating new jobs and then turn around and legislated non-funding the previous Congress’ legislation and against the Health Care Act passed previously! On the local level some bills in the house directly opposed abortion funding or stricter rules and restrictions rather than those jobs they said they’d produce! Robertson is an agitator, instigator and perverted pulpit perpetrator!

          Check out the next manhole cover you step on,  the the dates won’t all be 1937, it took 8 yrs, and if you keep reading the left and the right did squabble, just as foolishly as today!  It wasn’t a cure all then, and it’s not going to be an overnight fix now either, it  took time to get the country on it’s feet, but he had the guts to get the country moving, and The New Deal and the WPA’s works lead up to the boom of WW2 (also something that history repeats), where due to the War unemployment was the lowest it had been. 
         But the WPA/New Deal brought us, slowly and sparingly, had given millions of destitute Americans a job for those 8 years, and many of the libraries and lakes, highways, golf courses, generations have and still benefit from these improvements in every state!

         I am ashamed that “Washington” is not listening to their “constituents”, but politicking with our lives.  The debt ceiling debacle in August was so embarrassing that a majority of one side would not see the gravity of the situation, and give some respect to the office and the person of “Mr. President, Barack Obama”. 
 
             To me it’s acting like they were all in a corporate “boardroom”, and you and I were not in the equation at all, just not willing to act like the influential and lawmaking and people -helping “voices of the people” at all.

I felt like just like everything else, it came to who’s got the bigger “bill” or pen, or who can “out bat” whom, sorry, but men playing sports, and being “unsportsmanlike” to say the least, and knowing we’re watching it all!!

           History repeats itself….growing up I listened to the depression stories from family members, and remember the gas lines of the 70′s, and we dealt with it,… without ramming SUV’s or our “wagons” into our neighbor.   

         Today and yesterday I walked and talked to the “occupiers” in RI. and feel less alone again, and hopeful.
  
         In 12 days my unemployment runs out after 3 years, and another phase of getting what I need, not want, or desire, will begin, but my landlord said, we’ll take it a day at a time.

         She is living in her humanity and extending it to another….that’s the way I now try to live, being grateful, and maybe I can admit I am an adult learning adult lessons, at age 50.

        I can advocate for myself, and have researched and found tools that are semi-hidden from those of us that may be in need. But not everyone has the ability or the drive or the information.

It’s the “Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program”, but I had to go 

back a second time and ASK : “I would like to see if I am eligible for the 

Homelessness  Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program please”.  The object is to get you or me into a different apt with a lower rent , one that my/our unemployment benefits can cover, than at least we avoid homelessness in         addition to joblessness, and the goal is to get a job, before unemp benefits run out,and I can stay in this new cheaper apt if I get a job, kind of without my peeps, but it’s a safe place!!                I try to spread what I have learned and give extra stuff I have to someone else,  if they can use it.  It is better to give than received I know now.   My goal is to help those I meet in my daily journey, because we have to share the little bit the “Machine”(!) allows us to know in order to help ourselves, that way maybe eventually they ‘ll learn from us, the people.
              And it is a successful day if I make at least one person laugh, it is the best and simple and soothing medicine, as Reader’s Digest told me as a kid!!

             Pat Robertson and anyone who attempts to comment on what’s going on, but doesn’t lead a similar life, is speaking strictly out of the fear that you and I will realize, hey Pat you know nothing of this life today, real life…we know who you really are,  you are sitting above middle America, no longer living as you and I do, but instead looking out at us or down on us, and managing a religious meglomonopoly, basically inventing their own industry, based on others needs, preying on those looking for an answer from someone, anyone, and sitting at home, stuck, exposed to his twisted thinking cuz he generates $ becuz of his outrageougeousness, that’s only why he’s syndicated because someone else down the line makes big $ just because of his drivel, and that he’s willing to compromise his sense of right and wrong behind fallacies and our need to believe a man on  earth other than your self knows something special about how my God wants me to live this life.

              I understand the tea party’s desire to at least do something, but if the Real Repubs have no humility to work with anyone than the tea party is out of luck too, Mr Pennypacker, I agree with you in regard to both sides, but in addition to the banks taking advantage of “Joe public” wanting to refinance or  buy a bigger piece of the dream, each individual has to ask themselves how culpable as an individual was he/she in signing the paperwork when they had a funny feeling about the terms or the “Quicken quickie mortgage online” that wound up a little different at the closing.
         I do believe the banks sucked a lot of people in, but then there were mortgage companies telling borrowers to lie about their income, and those at the top of the closest thing to a ponzi-esque , illegal in sheep’s clothing, that constant media pressure to get a bigger house, SUV, dog, computer etc…              The American Dream got carried away, no doubt, and I say that from personal poor decisions I made after getting downsized after 13 years with a major American Corporation. But I now understand that the material world will always have the potential to be fleeting, so take it as it comes, one day at a time, and forget the competing with the “Jones’”.  And when you figure out that you only really should get what you need, not what you think you WANT, you’ll probably find yourself  to be a happy person!

I think I made some sense for the common good not, the senile old rich men with their incoherent rantings!  Man, sometimes I think some of the “kids” today are so smart that they get what idiots we’re all surrounded by if we listen, but then some of them are just like, typical teenager “apathy”, who cares.  I thank God now that I lived through the many lessons of the 60′s, but also the slowness of a Sunday when there weren’t any cars on the road, and the drugstore on the corner and as a kid you could run around the neighborhood and my mother would ring a bell to get me to come in on a hot summer night.   Of course I do remember the guys sniffing glue in my yard, while I was upstairs listening to them act like idiots!!!       Here I am 50 and I thought I would never survive 40!!
