Sarah Palin called out Paul Ryan yesterday for his “joke” budget, calling it “the definition of insanity” and saying it doesn’t go far enough. Ryan was asked about Palin’s criticisms during a Fox & Friends appearance Wednesday morning, and while he stated at the outset he’s a “big fan” of hers, he argued she’s really off the mark on this one.
He argued, “I think she ought to take a look at the details, and I think she’d probably be pretty pleased; if she liked what we were doing before, she should like what we’re doing here.”
Ryan made the case that what he’s doing is showing how strong the Republican majority in the House is, and told viewers to imagine what the GOP could accomplish if they took the Senate and the White House. He declared, “We’re showing that we’re not just an opposition party, we’re an alternative party.”
