President Obama’s Late Night Remarks On ‘Inexcusable’ Govt. Shutdown: No Deal Yet

Video

Barack Obama held a press conference at around 10:40 Wednesday evening to announce that a deal has yet to be reached regarding ongoing budget negotiations. Obama, who had discussed the negotiations with House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid in a late night meeting, called a government shutdown “inexcusable,” stressing the many services that would be suspended and the offices (like, say, the IRS) that would be forced to close should such a shutdown occur. He did add that issues had been “narrowed” significantly.

The President did not take any questions from the press.

Tomorrow we’ll have a deal. Tea Party and far left will scream bloody murder. It will pass.

It was nice of him to take time out from golfing and fund-raising to update us.

What I want to know the most is that, if a shutdown should occur, would the salaries of the House and Senate members be suspended as well.

It’s a little late for golf, but I”m sure Boehner will be able to make tee time bright and early tomorrow morning.

Too bad the Dems didn’t do their job and pass this last year when they had the majority and it was their responsibility – that’s what is inexcusable. They were too focused on Nov. they took a gamble and now we all lose – way to go…
So glad I already got my tax return.

If you’ll remember. Dem’s did not have a filibuster proof majority. Rep’s said they would filibuster any budget that was not exactly what they demanded. Dem’s found a workaround. The only real way to create a budget that will stand a chance of solving the federal debt is a compromise position between the two parties. Anything else will constantly be changed as the balance of power shifts over time. They’re too busy trying to undo what the other side accomplished to make any real progress. Compromist is the only solution in the long run.

Yo, duh. They had to make the meeting a 10:00 PM because the imposter was in NY extorting some cash……AGAIN.

Obamo is going to look at his first two years as the ‘Good Old Days.’ His final two years will be made miserable, and all those Leftists who bashed Bush mercilessly will whine & moan about it.

    This will be sweet.

I don’t remember the Democrats fighting to pass a budget before last year’s election. I remember that they chose not to present a budget.

Hussein the partisan didn’t seem to care about that, huh? Now, he calls it “inexcusable” and demands Republicans disregard the last election and “compromise,” which means in Demon code, “forget about it and do it our way.”

I thought it a big mistake for Reps to choose Boehner as Speaker. Now, we’ll see if I was right.

  • ChrisNH

Don’t forget that the Leftists screaming about THIS budget were the same Effing idiots who refused to propose their OWN budget.

Hoisted by their own petard, happily.

Did anyone happen to read about Obowmao telling the Pennsylvanian who asked about gas prices yesterday to trade in his 8 mpg car for a more economical one.

Now he clearly thinks the peasants are stoooooopid, but when he starts insulting our intelligence like that (again)…you tell me, who’s going to vote for this clown except the purely ideological base?? Oh and a few racists.

(sigh)….there appears to be plenty of relevant information missing from this story which has absolutely nothing to do with media topics, but that’s another story entirely.

Relevant information missing is that this is for fiscal year 2011….and we’ve been in fiscal year 2011 since the 1st of October 2010. This craziness should have been passed over 5 months ago. Additionally, the looming debt ceiling is coming soon. I know I know…..why have a ceiling if you aren’t going to abide by it. Between April 15 and May 31st we should hit the debt limit of $14.294 trillion.

Here is Senator Obama’s 2006 remarks on raising the debt limit:

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.”

Demons can use their multi-faces because they know how dim their Dims are. Dims easily accept these 180 degree lies as important political strategy.

The poor soul seems to be about to crack under the pressure. I suspect if he told the Tea Party to go suck an egg, he’d become a national hero to the 81% of Americans who have a negative or very negative view of the Tea Party. It would certainly do wonders for the Republican Party.

Yes. Notice that the Republican budget for FY ’12 is already on the table, while we’re still dealing with the ’11 budget that Pelosi and Reid failed to do.

Gotta agree with you, except for the 81% you wrongly idenify as “Americans.” Those are your UN-Americans. The American Conservative majority, however, fully support the Tea Party as evidenced last November.

Your using Demon commandment #6. But unfortunately for you, the only people believing it are the Dim ones.:

“6. Repeat a lie often enough for our voter base to accept it as truth. Always spin a defeat as a victory for your side and your opponent’s victory as a failure, no matter how uncomfortable you may be in doing so. Remember, our voters are emotional, not logical, and they easily led to think what we tell them to think, and repeat what we tell them to repeat.”

Is The GOP Getting Record Low Approval Ratings Among Latinos?

ImpireMedia and Latino Decisions released a poll on Obama and GOP approval ratings among Hispanics. In a nutshell, they find that 70% of Hispanics approve of Obama and 43% are planning to vote for him in 2012. For the GOP, only 9% say they will vote for the Republican candidate and an additional 8% say they might. Looking at past elections, these early numbers could signal a low turnout for Republican Hispanics in the next election.

It’s ridiculous how liberals view everyone in terms of race – as if their substance is only has deep as their skin color. It’s insulting really. They seem to forget is that people are individuals with their own views, thoughts and dreams.

Additionally, they appear to believe that these racial “collectives” can only succeed through liberal government help as if they are unable to succeed by themselves through their own means and motivations.

If democrats can’t find $40 B to reduce, then just retire or step down. We’re paying $4B a day on interest of the debt alone. If you truly think you can win the PR war when the facts are so insanely against your spending ways, then reality is not your thing. Neither is being in politics.

At least be honest and propose raising taxes. We all know that’s the goal anyways….

One of the GOP members said, they were about to put out an Amber-alert for Bimbo because he was nowhere to be seen. And when he does show up, all he can add is his sophomoric nonsense. This clown has completely eclipsed Carters inept administration.

If they did a modern Mt. Rushmore they could put the face of Obama on all four sides and still need room for another one or two. He knows his base is A) dumb B) uninformed C) gullible and D) lazy he can say anything and they will lap it up like little lemmings. He will go down as the worst President ever. A total failure at everything except lowering our standing in the world order.

You’re suffering from CRAFT then (can’t remember a f’ing thing). Republicans filibustered 84 times that year. They blocked everything including the omnibus budget bill that they fought to get earmarks into over keeping the Bush tax cuts for the upper 5% of earners.

Both sides had a hand in this, its time for them to act like adults, compromise and move on.
